About WiFi Tribe - Living Boldly
WiFi Tribe is THE vetted community for professionals who live boldly and travel and Living Boldly is a podcast all about just that. Hosted by WiFi Tribe CEO, Diego Bejarano Gerke - Living Boldly is a peek behind the curtains of one of the longest running communities in the remote professional space. At WiFi Tribe, we invite driven remote professionals into a carefully vetted community so you can instantly start traveling the world with like-minded people – without wasting time, effort or energy repeatedly building friendships from scratch in each new city. Community isn’t just a buzzword here – it’s our obsession. We’re selective, but for all the right reasons (accepting less than 20% of applicants) to create a vibing tribe of remarkable humans.

Fort Myers to Paros, Greece: Brianna Goes Global
When Brianna began working remotely from Fort Myers, Florida, she gained flexibility—but found herself craving something her job could not provide: community. Joining a house full of strangers felt intimidating, especially as an introvert. But after Chapters in Gran Canaria and Paros, Brianna’s understanding of what her life could look like has completely changed. Recorded in Paros, Greece, this conversation moves through the rhythms of island life: paddle and tennis, self-guided reformer Pilates, local food, Aegean swims, remote work and evening conversations with her roommate, Hannah. Brianna shares the spectacular moments—from sailing around Paros to exploring Tenerife and the Maspalomas dunes—but also the quieter ones that made the greatest impression. Someone recognised when she was emotionally overwhelmed and supported her. An unofficial “grilling club” made sure she had something to eat after demanding workdays. Those small acts transformed a group of strangers into people she could genuinely rely on. Brianna reflects on how WiFi Tribe “blew the ceiling off” what she believed was possible, strengthened her professionally and brought out an adventurous side that makes her feel more vibrant and alive. With Mallorca already in her plans—and Cape Town or Namibia potentially next—this is an honest conversation about loneliness, introversion and what happens when working from anywhere finally comes with people to share it with. Lucy took WiFi Tribe further: This is not group travel
At 21, Lucy watched her friends accept jobs offering ten days of annual leave and thought: “That’s not going to work for me.” She started her own copywriting and messaging business, discovered WiFi Tribe during a 2am pandemic scroll and joined her first Chapter in Florence. Thirteen Chapters later, she has lived and worked with the Tribe around the world—and has no interest in travelling alone again. In this conversation, recorded during her Edinburgh Chapter, Lucy reflects on the fear that she might not be accepted, the first night that completely changed her mind and the community that made her unconventional lifestyle feel possible. She shares what life on Chapter actually looks like: working alongside new friends, living in a Scottish castle, creating homemade Highland Games, competing over pasta and ending ordinary Wednesdays in conversations that leave everyone feeling seen. Lucy also explains why WiFi Tribe is not group travel, why the best experiences rarely follow a perfect itinerary and why she now values connection even more than the places she visits. Her story is an honest look at who thrives inside the Tribe, who probably won’t—and what can happen when you stop asking, “How could this be me?” and start asking, “Why can’t I do that?” Apply to join WiFi Tribe: https://wifitribe.co/apply-to-join/ (https://wifitribe.co/apply-to-join/)

100+ Countries Later: Our 7 Best Beach Towns
After more than 100 countries and 20 years of combined nomad experience, Diego, Hannah and Joe have developed strong opinions about what makes a tropical beach town worth living in. In this episode, they compare seven of their favourites: Pipa, San Juan del Sur, Puerto Escondido, Santa Teresa, Weligama, Bocas del Toro and the highly anticipated Siargao. They discuss who each destination is best suited to, what everyday remote life feels like there and how some of the world’s best-known nomad towns are changing as they become more popular. They also reveal the experiences that unlocked each place for them—from surfing beside dolphins in Pipa and going on dawn patrol in Sri Lanka to volcano boarding in Nicaragua and navigating a pirate-built ATV trail through the jungle in Bocas. These are not recommendations pulled from a search result. They are honest reflections from people who have spent years living, working and building communities around the world. Whether you want serious surf, stronger infrastructure, unpolished adventure or a Caribbean “one-errand-a-day” lifestyle, this conversation will help you find the beach town that fits you. Why Remote Work Still Fails Without Real Community
What kind of people join WiFi Tribe—and what brings such different people together? On a Chapter in Namibia, Bryan, Sara and Annette reflect on the friendships, conversations and unexpected connections that have reshaped how they think about work, community and the lives they want to build. They discuss arriving without knowing anyone, finding close friends through everyday moments and planning future adventures together before the Chapter has even ended. They also explain why WiFi Tribe works for both introverts and extroverts, how the community extends far beyond travel and why professional success does not have to come at the expense of experience. From coffee walks and skill shares to safaris, volunteering and a remarkable connection made halfway around the world, this episode captures what happens when curious, driven people choose to live differently—together. Meet Annette: We Made Our Own Chapters
Meet Annette, a San Francisco native, natural host and operations professional at Empower Me Academy, a basketball and leadership nonprofit for children. Annette had bought her own home, built a career she cared about and surrounded herself with lifelong friends. But after years of living with other people, life alone with her dog began to feel more isolating than independent. Following a breakup, she took advantage of her remote job and joined her first WiFi Tribe Chapter in Buenos Aires without knowing a single person. That one month gave her far more than a travel experience. The friends she met became companions for new adventures through Cape Town, Croatia and Oaxaca—creating their own unofficial Chapters long after Buenos Aires ended. In this conversation, recorded at the end of her second Chapter in Namibia, Annette reflects on the everyday care that makes the Tribe feel different: preparing food together, looking out for one another in the desert, sharing knowledge freely and knowing that almost any idea will be met with someone saying, “I’m in.” She also shares the Namibia moments that changed her—from climbing a dune barefoot at sunrise to learning the history of the land and discovering an extraordinary professional connection halfway around the world. Most importantly, Annette explains how WiFi Tribe helped her recognise something she had felt for years but never knew how to articulate: she wanted a life that could be rooted, semi-nomadic and deeply connected all at once. Bryan Speaks Out: What WiFi Tribe Really Is
Meet Bryan, a Canadian industrial and UX designer who began questioning whether conventional success was giving him a life that felt truly full. Remote work showed him another way to live. WiFi Tribe gave him the community to pursue it. From climbing an erupting volcano in Guatemala to crossing Namibia in a convoy of new friends, Bryan has found what he was missing: adventure, perspective, purpose and a sense of belonging he didn’t realise was still possible. In this conversation, he reflects on navigating a career transition, letting go of the structures tying him to home and learning that success and experience don’t have to be opposing choices. He also shares the moments that made Namibia unforgettable—sunrise dune climbs, desert dinners, flat tyres on the Skeleton Coast and strangers becoming the people he trusted to figure it all out with. Bryan’s story is a reminder that one life is too precious to build around someone else’s idea of what it should look like. Ready to build a life with more freedom, adventure and community? Hout Bay: The Cape Town Alternative Digital Nomads Sleep On (Accommodation Deep Dive) In this episode, Ben Clark (WiFi Tribe Destinations Lead) and Milan Rendall (WiFi Tribe Marketing) unpack why Hout Bay might be the smarter, calmer, more “liveable” choice for digital nomads than Cape Town CBD or the Atlantic Seaboard.
