Boundaries + capacity | why clarity is humane

In this episode I talk about the value of honesty with personal capacity and why it is the kind thing to be direct and clear.

Boundaries don’t always need to be comfortable for the person you’re giving them to, for them to still be a valid experience for you.

Direct communication for where our boundaries are and where our capacity has hit its limit, is not just for us, but for others too. Clarity is a huge value for me and that’s a baseline for me in all of my relationships that I am holding as a foundation going forward.

Truth can hurt and it doesn’t mean it’s wrong to express it. We can’t live a censored life just bc we are scared to lose connections. Leaning into communication regardless if it gets messy, will always be what I choose in my relationships.

The relationships I value most are the ones that lean into the uncomfortable truth together and still grow something beautiful.

Love and thoughtfulness don’t look like coddling. Being honest about what role we are comfortable being in for others, is clear, kind and humane.

** Also I used the word ‘ambiguity’ a lot in this podcast and I meant to say vagueness 😂

Do you struggle with boundaries and telling the truth about your capacity? Do you get trapped in people pleasing? Would love to hear your experience and perspective in the comments!

Please follow this podcast and share it with loved ones! My goal is to grow this for 2026 and I need a your help ❤️

xx Alax

EP 19: Living Between Urgency + Rest | A Reframe For Productivity

I’m back!!! It’s been a long time, but it was well worth it. I’m so ready to be back and excited to share again.

This episode is under the new name Somatically Designed by Alaxandra… a whole new vibe, but the same me! I’m sharing what this past year has actually looked like behind the scenes. The pauses, the overwhelm, the urgency, and the slow integration of everything I’ve been learning about my energy, my nervous system, and myself.

As someone living with ADHD, autism, and OCD, along with a deeply creative, multi-passionate mind, I talk openly about the tension between wanting to create right now and learning how to slow down without guilt. I’m talking about the discomfort of not always using pressure as the propeller and instead witnessing what happens when I make a decision to rest whenever I’m overloaded and overly motivated.

Burnout doesn’t come from rest, it comes from constant mental multitasking, avoidance, and indecision.

I share how I’ve been learning to support myself with more grace, how “failure” has actually been information, and why making a single clear decision for the day, even if that decision is to rest, can be one of the most regulating things we can do for our nervous system.

This episode is an invitation to soften the urgency, trust your timing, and begin honoring your energy instead of forcing it. No fixing. No pushing. Just learning how to be with yourself where you are, and letting that be enough.

There is more time. There is no finish line.

Please let me know if the takeaways at the end are helpful tools for you! I’m so curious.

If you’re looking for 1:1 coaching for human design and somatic healing, I only have 3 spaces left! This work is very intentional and immersive for me and my clients, so I limit myself to protect my energy. (Another beautiful integration of the work I’ve done over the past year)

Email me to secure a 1:1 coaching container with me as your guide! Somaticallydesigned@gmail.com

Follow me on Instagram www.Instagram.com/somaticallydesigned

xx Alax

Comment, share and save this podcast! It really helps it grow and expand ❤️

EP 18: hyper-vigilance in healing | why it’s actually hurting

Hey! Thanks for tuning into this weeks episode 🥰This is kind of a part 2 from last week, so catch up on that one first, but if not, you’ll still be able to follow!! https://open.spotify.com/show/5NKFo9rRGf151PBnZGjzna

I’ve been thinking about how I can use hyper-vigilance in healing, by outsourcing my energy to others, to dictate the direction of my life. And how that is an active and unconcious form of avoiding self-responsibility.

I had the answers all along, but I was terrified to look deeper and admit truth to myself. And that was because I didn’t trust myself to be able to handle anything, so I ignored my inner wisdom and disconnected from myself, which essentially got me into the same situations with different people, born out of the same wound of self-neglect.

My constant seeking outside of myself, gave me the unhelpful tool of blaming others for their actions and roles, yet rarely taking accountability for my apathy and unwillingness to be real about my non-negotiables and desires.

My frustrations grew, as my boundaries weakened, my lack of fulfillment stretched over me and my emotional regulation was non-existent. I was playing the role of self-inflicted puppet on strings.

When I stepped into my true authenticity, it was a direct result of the accountability I became brave enough to take.

In fact, I took my fckn power back, instead of giving it to everyone else to do with as they pleased. And that wasn’t on them, that was on me for giving it over in the first place.

I had no one left to blame, because the work was mine to do.

I get to embody my vulnerability and my truth as my foundation, instead of waiting for anyone else to create my desires for me.

True empowerment is equal to how much I am able to forgive myself, build trust with myself and be honest with myself, and with God at the center.

It’s only from that space, that I am able to create a life force from within that feels purposeful and playful at the same time. One that expands with more peace, ease and flow. And those things ONLY exist because I also allow room for every other unsavory emotion to exist at the same time.

Comment if this resonates and please like, follow and share this podcast! I’m really trying to grow my channel this year and I need your support 🧡 ✨
