Chelsea Crisis Deepens, Arsenal vs PSG Final Debate, Man City Title Charge & FPL Double Gameweek Strategy
Jermaine Jenas and Jermaine Pennant react to another dramatic week across football and Fantasy Premier League - with huge debates around Chelsea’s collapse, Arsenal’s chances against PSG, and the impact of Double Gameweek 36 in FPL.
The episode opens with a major swing in the Wildcards mini-league after Jermaine Jenas lands 89 points thanks to a successful Bench Boost, while Jermaine Pennant prepares to use his Triple Captain chip on Erling Haaland ahead of Manchester City’s double gameweek. Crystal Palace assets, Victor Gyökeres, Jarrod Bowen, and risky Bournemouth picks are all debated as managers try to gain rank in the closing weeks of the season.
The conversation then shifts towards the international stage and the growing feeling that France are favourites for the next World Cup. With players like Ousmane Dembélé, Michael Olise, Bradley Barcola, Warren Zaïre-Emery and Kylian Mbappé all discussed, the lads question whether England currently have the level to compete with elite nations.
A hilarious new segment, Two Truths, One Lie, delivers brilliant dressing room stories from their careers - including Rafael van der Vaart and Benoît Assou-Ekotto nearly fighting over a free kick while naked in the dressing room, and Nobby Solano playing trumpet in a hotel room the night before Jenas’ Premier League debut.
There’s also a deep tactical breakdown of Arsenal vs PSG, with PSG’s intensity, pressing structure and attacking quality leaving both hosts convinced the French side are currently the best team in world football.
The lads question whether Chelsea still even feels like Chelsea anymore, criticising the football decisions being made at the top of the club and the lack of identity throughout the squad.
Plus: Liverpool players getting criticised for taking time off, Morgan Gibbs-White’s nasty head injury, and final predictions for the Premier League title race.
