   Mercury Retrograde Without the Panic

Mercury is retrograde. Your phone glitches, the email gets misunderstood, your plans change and suddenly the smallest inconvenience has a planetary suspect. ☿ But does Mercury retrograde really mean you should put your life on hold? In this episode of Wildflowers & Moonlight, Alex takes the fear out of one of astrology’s most infamous transits. As a companion to the YouTube episode Mercury Retrograde Isn’t Ruining Your Life, we’re going beyond the basic explanation to talk about why Mercury retrograde makes us anxious, how astrology can become fear-based, and how to use it as a tool for reflection without giving it control over your decisions. ✨ In this episode: What Mercury retrograde actually means Astronomy vs. astrological interpretation Why we notice every glitch once Mercury goes retrograde Using astrology as a lens, not an excuse Why you don’t need to avoid contracts, travel, technology, or major decisions Yes, we’re talking about the ex coming back 👀 Why revisiting something doesn’t mean you’re moving backward A simple approach to retrograde: Review, Revisit & Reflect Keeping your agency while working with astrology Mercury retrograde doesn’t have to be an astrological emergency. Sometimes it can simply be an invitation to slow down, look again, and notice what deserves your attention. Review. Revisit. Reflect. Don’t panic. ☿🌙 See you beneath the wild skies. 🌙🌿

Growing Roots — Where We Go From Here

Welcome to Season Two of Wildflowers & Moonlight! We didn’t take a break, we’re just turning the page and digging a little deeper. Season One was about planting seeds: exploring tarot, astrology, moon phases, numerology, intuition, and the foundations of spiritual practice. Now it’s time to start connecting those ideas and building the roots underneath them. In this season opener, Alex talks about what Growing Roots means, why understanding a spiritual system matters more than memorizing its rules, and where we’re headed next. ✨ In this episode: Moving from collecting information to actually understanding it Why spiritual curiosity doesn’t require certainty The difference between memorizing meanings and understanding a system What planet = what, sign = how, house = where can teach us about astrology Why Mercury retrograde is getting some attention—but Mercury isn’t the only planet that exists Going deeper into Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and the astrological houses Returning to tarot for the Minor Arcana, suits, numbers, and Court Cards Why your spiritual practice is allowed to grow, change, and even let things go Season One gave us a place to start. Season Two is about asking why, making connections, and growing some roots. 🌿 Stay curious, question the rules, and see you beneath the wild skies. 🌙🌿

Listener Q&A: The Questions You Were Afraid to Ask | Season 1 Finale

Can you read tarot wrong? Do you have to cleanse your deck? What if you don’t know exactly what you believe? And how do you tell the difference between intuition and your brain just being…really loud? For the Season One finale of Wildflowers & Moonlight, Alex is answering the questions that can feel too basic, too awkward, or too weird to ask out loud. We’re talking tarot, astrology, intuition, spiritual practice, discernment, and why you absolutely do not need to have everything figured out before you’re allowed to explore. ✨ In this episode: What if you don’t know what you believe? Can you read tarot “wrong”? What should you do when you pull a card you don’t like? Do tarot decks really need to be cleansed? Can astrology be useful even if you’re skeptical? Should you actually worry about Mercury retrograde? Intuition vs. anxiety What if you don’t have time for a daily spiritual practice? How do you figure out what’s actually true? Plus, we’re closing the book on Season One and looking ahead to Season Two: Growing Roots 🌿where we’ll dig deeper into astrology, the planets, Mercury retrograde, and eventually make our way back to the tarot table for the Minor Arcana, Court Cards, and more. Common Myths About Tarot, Astrology & Spirituality

Does your first tarot deck really have to be gifted? Do you need to be psychic to read tarot? Does Mercury retrograde mean everything is about to go wrong and is everything really a sign? In this episode of Wildflowers & Moonlight, Alex unpacks some of the most common myths, rules, and misconceptions that get repeated in tarot, astrology, and spiritual spaces. We’ll talk about where these ideas come from, the difference between tradition and personal practice, and why questioning what you’ve been taught doesn’t have to take the magic out of spirituality. ✨ In this episode: Tarot decks, psychic abilities & predicting the future Why there isn’t one “correct” way to read tarot Why astrology is so much more than your Sun sign Mercury retrograde without the fear When a coincidence doesn’t have to be a sign Building a spiritual practice that actually works for you Curiosity, discernment & learning to say, “I don’t know” You’re allowed to ask questions, change your mind, and build a practice that feels meaningful without following every rule you find online. 🌿 Stay curious. Astrology vs. Astronomy — Can You Love Both?

Do you have to choose between loving astrology and appreciating science? I don't think so. In this episode of Wildflowers & Moonlight, we're exploring the relationship and important differences between astrology and astronomy. We'll talk about what astronomy studies, what astrology actually claims to do, where their shared history eventually split into two very different paths, and why I believe we can enjoy symbolic traditions without pretending they're the same thing as science. We'll also explore how curiosity, skepticism, spirituality, and scientific understanding can exist in the same space. Because appreciating the symbolism of Saturn doesn't make the real planet any less incredible and understanding why the Moon has phases doesn't make standing beneath a Full Moon any less beautiful. 🔭 Science can help us understand the universe. 🌙 Symbolism can help us reflect on our experience within it. And sometimes, wonder lives comfortably between the two. See you beneath the wild skies.

   Why Your Intuition Isn't Broken

Have you ever thought, “Maybe I'm just not an intuitive person?” Your intuition probably isn't broken, you may just have a harder time hearing it beneath all the noise. In this episode of Wildflowers & Moonlight, we're exploring what intuition actually is, what it isn't, and why it doesn't have to look like psychic visions, mysterious messages, or dramatic gut feelings. We'll talk about the quieter ways intuition can show up, how anxiety and intuition can sometimes feel confusingly similar, why trusting yourself takes practice, and how you can begin paying closer attention to your own inner voice without handing your decision-making over to it. Because intuition isn't about knowing everything. It's about learning to notice, reflect, and trust yourself while still leaving room for evidence, reason, and uncertainty. 🌿 You don't need to become more mystical to become more intuitive. You may simply need to become more familiar with yourself. See you beneath the wild skies.

Numerology 101 — What Your Life Path Number Can (and Can't) Tell You

Your birth date can be reduced to a Life Path Number, but what does that number actually mean, and how much can it really tell you about yourself? In this episode of Wildflowers & Moonlight, we're exploring the basics of numerology and breaking down Life Path Numbers 1–9, along with the Master Numbers 11, 22, and 33. We'll talk about how to calculate your Life Path Number, the traditional themes associated with each number, and why I see numerology as a tool for self-reflection rather than a rulebook for your life. We'll also spend a little extra time with Master Numbers. A topic that's personal to me as someone with a Master Number Life Path and clear up the idea that having one somehow makes you more spiritual, intuitive, or "special" than everyone else. Your Life Path Number can't predict exactly who you'll become. But it can give you another interesting lens through which to explore your strengths, challenges, patterns, and possibilities. ✨ Grab your birth date, calculate your number, and let's see what you discover. See you beneath the wild skies.

Understanding the Moon Phases Beyond Manifestation

The Moon is always changing but there's so much more to its phases than manifestation rituals and intention setting. In this episode of Wildflowers & Moonlight, we're stepping back from the spiritual trends to explore what the Moon's phases actually are, why they happen, and the symbolism humans have connected to them over time. We'll journey through the lunar cycle from the New Moon to the Full Moon and back again, exploring themes of beginnings, growth, reflection, release, and rest, while keeping one foot firmly planted in the astronomy happening above us. Because the Moon isn't changing shape for us. It's moving through a beautiful, predictable cycle of light and shadow that has fascinated humans for thousands of years. Whether you follow the Moon spiritually, love looking up at the night sky, or simply want to understand what you're seeing, this episode is an invitation to appreciate the lunar cycle beyond what it can supposedly do for us. 🌙 Sometimes we don't need to manifest beneath the Moon. Sometimes we can simply look up and wonder. See you beneath the wild skies.
