Only Love Can Heal - Homily 10th July 2026

God never withholds His forgiveness, but His love can only heal us when we honestly acknowledge our sins and open our hearts to His grace. The Book of Hosea reminds us not to place our trust in power, wealth, or the idols we create, but to remain rooted in the Lord, the true source of life and fruitfulness. Instead, He continues to pursue us with mercy, inviting us back into His embrace. When Success Makes Us Forget God - Homily 8th July 2026

We are reminded of a subtle danger: when life is going well, we can slowly become self-sufficient and lose our dependence on God. Prosperity, success and even a well-organised Church are blessings, but they become obstacles when they replace prayer, humility and trust in the Lord. Before we look to convert others, Jesus first calls us to examine our own hearts.

Are we serving Him, or simply carrying out His work without Him? Every ministry, achievement and blessing should ultimately lead people and ourselves to encounter Christ. The mission of the Church is not measured by buildings, programmes or numbers, but by lives transformed and souls drawn closer to God.

Reflection Question: In what areas of my life have comfort, success or routine made me less dependent on God, and how is Jesus inviting me to seek Him more intentionally today?
