In gesprek met oudtestamenticus Hans Ausloos verkennen we deze poëtische oertekst over macht en onmacht, lijden en aanvaarding.</p>

<p>Hoe is het om voortdurend op onbegrip te stuiten, omdat je de maatschappelijke codes niet begrijpt? Het overkomt Dochter, een jonge vrouw met autisme en de ik-verteller uit Lenny Peeters’ gelijknamige debuut uit 2017. Dochter woont samen met haar zonderlinge vader aan de rand van het dorp. Hij wil haar graag beschermen tegen de boze buitenwereld, maar drijft haar zodoende nog verder in isolement. We spreken met de auteur over hoe (ouderlijke) zorg voor kwetsbare kinderen, ongewild, misbruik in de hand kan werken.</p>

<p>Als Clay, een jonge dertiger, plots chronisch ziek wordt, komt hij in een geheel nieuwe wereld terecht: het rijk der zieken. Tot zijn schrik kan hij ook niet meer terug naar de gewone wereld der ‘gezonden’. In hoeverre is er voor langdurig zieken verzet mogelijk tegen hun sociale uitsluiting? Naar aanleiding van Hanna Bervoets’ satirische roman praten we hierover met Lynn Formesyn, zelf ervaringsdeskundige en auteur van Zinvol ziek.</p>
