With all the crazy things being put on our food, in our food, and things we eat that aren’t even food at all, it’s prompted the inquiry of how to make many of our everyday foods from scratch. They say you are what you eat, and I refuse to accept being genetically modified and bio-engineered. Being aware has me wanting to be Betty Crocker…at least where I have the time. 🥣

E36 | McDonald’s is Not an End Goal
Current talk on the town is raising the national minimum wage to $25 per hour. While this may sound great to anyone who’s not there currently, this sounds horrible when thinking about the future of America’s economic state. Sure, you may now meet the minimum three times the rent to have an apartment, but you can also expect to pay an easy $12 for a burger…without fries and a drink. Yes, people need to make a wage to live, but why strive for self betterment when one can ask “does that complete your order?” and live in the same middle working class neighborhoods, that prior, required true effort and years on the job to obtain.

E35 | Postpartum Problems…Years Later
You would think postpartum is the period of realigning mental, emotional, and hormonal changes to their new norm while of course being sleep deprived and constantly needed by another. But the oldest baby is now 3 and I’m still experiencing various issues caused by the shape shifting task of carrying and delivering a whole human. Yes, postpartum problems that never went away and are showing their face in the worst way possible. Here’s my attempt to navigate. 🤰🏽
