Mentioned in this episode: Episode 134. How the Akashic Records can help with your ancestral healing (https://www.akashicreadingsandhealing.com/podcast-episodes/episode-134)
In this episode, Akashic Records teacher Suzie Ridley explores the traditional energies of Samhain and how this Celtic festival can offer a meaningful opportunity for reflection, ancestral healing, divination and preparing for the quieter winter season. Drawing on traditions from her own childhood, Suzie shares both the history of Samhain and simple practices you can bring into your own spiritual life.
Suzie explores Samhain as the end of the harvest and beginning of winter, a liminal time traditionally associated with bonfires, feasting, prophecy, protection and a thinning of the veil between worlds. She shares childhood traditions including Hop Tu Naa, turnip carving and stories of the “little people”, before offering six ways to work with the season today through ancestral connection, fire, saining, protection rituals, divination and journalling or your Akashic Records.
In this episode, you’ll learn
What Samhain traditionally represents and how it connects with Halloween and Hop Tu Naa
Why this time of year was associated with reflection, preparation, divination and protection
How the thinning veil can support ancestral healing and connection with your lineage
Six practical ways to work with Samhain energy, including fire rituals, saining, protection and divination
Questions you can journal on or take into your Akashic Records as you reflect on the year and prepare for the season ahead
