Nourish Me!
Nourish Me After some tech issues and life bumps, I am back with a new brand and theme for this space. The last few months have been a whirlwind- Spirit just gently nudging in a direction I never thought to go, but so dear to my heart. I've launched a plant based food business here on Hawaii Island with the theme of Nourishing Ourselves - inside and out. This new rebranded version of my podcast will include guidance, health and wellness tips for leading a fulfilling and nourishing life. I'll also showcase other amazing women and share their journeys, joys and passions. Next week's first guest - Don't miss our guest next week, Yeshe Meryemana Matthews, Mandala Priestess & Sibyl of Tsogyal Lhamo Drayang Ling, the Mt Shashta Goddess Temple. I thoroughly enjoyed my interview with Yeshe - we went down some deep rabbit holes exploring loss, grief and mourning. She also shared the story and inspiration behind the birthing of the Mt Shasta Goddess Temple, now in its 10th year of existence. She offers several two year programs, including her newest program, Bloodstone and Lime, Death Maya training and shares her excitement on her new role as a traveling priestess, hosting amazing sacred pilgrimages around the world. Her interview will be available 11/10/26 Mt Shasta Goddess Temple https://www.mtshastagoddesstemple.com https://www.caravansophia.com/ (https://www.caravansophia.com/) For more sacred grief work, sign up for the White Rose Healing newswletter at www.whiterosehealing.org (www.whiterosehealing.org). To Die Before You Die
In this episode, I explore something St. John of the Cross touched in his mystic poetry - that longing and loss are their own kind of dying. Every time we release something whether it be a person, a job or a chapter in our lives, we practice a small kind of 'death'. I believe those small deaths prepare us for our own death, loosening the grip of fear and allowing us to embrace life more fully. Don't miss our guest next week, Yeshe Matthews, the Mandala Priestess of the Mt Shashta Goddess Temple. I thoroughly enjoyed my interview with Yeshe - we went down some deep rabbit holes exploring loss, grief and mourning. Cooking as Prayer
Aloha Divine Ones, And welcome to my rainforest garden. This week on Wisdom from the Rainforest, I'm pulling back the curtain on how the food at White Rose Kitchen really comes to life. It's not all about recipes and mixing bowls, but the sacred space before it. Every dish begins with prayer. I choose each offering, each ingredient with intention. I let the recipe arrive rather than force it. I listen and feel into deeply on what wishes to comes through. I bless the space calling in the angels and Mother Mary. I bless myself ensuring that I am an empty vessel ready to prepare food of the highest vibration. Sometimes I chant along with chopping - sometimes silently offering prayers as I create. Food is both nourishment and sacred offering. If you are local or visiting Hawaiʻi Island, visit the Volcano Farmer's Market, Cooper Centre, every Sunday 6 - 10 am and look for White Rose Kitchen. I'll be there with a smile and some yummy raw and vegan treats. AND coming up... Two amazing guests will be joining me Yeshe Matthews, Visionary and Foundress of the Mt Shasta Goddess Temple will share her story and upcoming programs and travels. https://www.mtshastagoddesstemple.com (https://www.mtshastagoddesstemple.com/) Sarah Trew, Foundress of Matria Devi, a devotional space dedicated to Goddess from the lens of Shakti. Lessons from Lala
Aloha Divine Ones, And welcome to another edition of Wisdom from the Rainforest. I'm your host and guide, Rev. Catherine Mea Ananda. On August 14, 2026, a category 1 hurricane passed very near to the Big Island, Hawaiʻi, showering the island with non stop torrential rain and wind gusts up to 60 mph. Avalanches of water and massive rocks cascaded down the mountains devasting the towns below. Human and animal lives were lost as well as homes just swept away. Join me as I share first hand account from that weekend and update you to clean up efforts today. AND coming up... Decision Overwhelm: Jill's Story
Aloha Divine Ones, Welcome to Wisdom from the Rainforest episode 7. In episode 4 I discussed Decision Overwhelm to listen (https://spotifycreators-web.app.link/e/066M4MgwW4b). Decision Overwhelm, decision fatigue or analysis paralysis occurs when an individual experiencing a life changing event is confronted with so many decisions that they exhaust the brain and the mind simply says, “no more.” Thinking becomes very challenging and often the individuals will feel frozen in place and numb. This week we are honored to welcome our first guest, Jill. Jill lost her husband in 2024 and like so many, has been faced with many challenging life situations, including decision overwhelm. In this episode she shares from her heart what it is really like to live through grief and loss each day, what she is struggling with at this moment and guidance for those who find themselves in the same situation. Mahalo nui, Jill, for sharing your wisdom! You are appreciated Sending you peace and ease for your grief journey. Go gently. Go with love. With gratitude, Rev. Catherine Mea Ananda For more sacred grief work, sign up for the White Rose Healing newswletter at www.whiterosehealing.org (www.whiterosehealing.org). Honoring Grief
August 1 would have been my husband's 59th birthday. Typically my daughter and I bake a cake, look at photos and share stories. We honor his memory as well as our sorrow at his passing. One never can truly plan for what a landmark day will bring. Some years the day may sail past smoothly, sharing funny stories in a lighthearted way. Other years, grief knocks forcefully at our door and demands to be witnessed. Too often we try to slam the door shut and pretend there is no one there. But grief is patient, yet persistent and will be there waiting. I guide individuals to honor what comes up in each moment. If an unexpected grief day arises, don’t shove it away, but honor it. Feel into your body - what can you realistically accomplish on the day? What is grief asking of you? Perhaps it’s not a day to socialize, but to spend in solitude with your memories. When we spend time to honor our grief journey, we find that grief is appeased for the moment, granting us space to breathe and grow. August 1, for me, was a day of solitude, a good cry and a letting go, yet again, of a life that was. Sending you peace and ease for your grief journey. Go gently. Go with love. With gratitude, Rev. The Sacred Art of Letting Things Go
There is a particular kind of grief that lives in objects - a sweater still holding a scent, a coffee mug worn by a hand no longer here. In this episode, I share about my own personal journey with shedding my husband's things after his sudden death and the layers of memory and emotion woven into even the smallest things. This is not a conversation about decluttering. It is a conversation about reverence - about honoring the truth that grief cannot be rushed, and that each object we release is its own small ceremony. I share why moving through this process with awareness matters so deeply, and how, for many of us, there comes an unmistakable day when something within us simply knows that its time. If you are sitting amoung the belongs of someone you loved, unsure of when or how to begin - this episode if for you. There is no timeline. Only your own sacred space and process. Go gently. Go with love.

Decision Overwhelm
Aloha, Divine Ones, There is a particular kind of exhaustion that has no name in most medical books - the one that arrives when a life partner is suddenly gone, or when you are a single mom carrying every decision alone. Suddenly the smallest choice feels like it could break you and leaves you frozen in place. This is decision . It is real. It is a nervous system carrying more than it was built to carry alone and it deserves to be honored. In this episode, we sit with the truth together. I share what decision actually is, why it descends like a weight from nowhere, and gentle tools to move through it rather than try to push past it. I guide you through a practice of self compassion so you can glide gracefully through your grief journey. If you are in the fog of too many decision and feel as if you cannot move forward, this episode is for you. Go gently. Go with love. With gratitude, Rev. Honoring the Liminal Space of Profound Grief
When you receive news that a loved one has died suddenly, it is not grief that greets you at the door. Grief is waiting in the sidelines, but first comes a chapter unique unto itself. I call this chapter the Dismemberment as it truly feels as if your entire life is being ripped apart. The person you were prior to that moment is no more, but it takes time and patience to fully comprehend the new reality set before you. In this episode, I continue the conversation from last week, naming this raw first chapter in one's grief story as its own unique threshold and journey unto itself. There is no 'picking up pieces' or fast forwarding this experience, one must - with love and infinite compassion - move through slowly one breath, one step at a time. Go gently, go with Love. When Life Breaks Open: The Threshold Before Grief
Aloha Divine Ones! Welcome to my rainforest garden. In this episode of Wisdom from the Rainforest, I open a space for what I call the dismemberment—the moment before grief fully arrives, when life is suddenly altered and the nervous system is confronted with the reality of irreversible loss. This is the threshold that is rarely named. Before grief becomes something we can recognize, there is often a period of shock, disorientation, and fragmentation. A moment when language falls away, meaning dissolves, and we are left standing in the raw rupture of what has just happened. I speak here about this space before grief, and what it means to honor this stage—not rush through it, not bypass it, but recognize it as part of the sacred unfolding of loss. I also introduce the idea of the “dance before the dance”—the unseen movement that happens before grief takes its full shape. This is a place of profound vulnerability, but also the beginning of deep truth-telling and presence. For many, this is the part of loss that is least spoken about. And yet it is often where we most need companionship. 🌿 If you are navigating sudden loss, grief, or a life-altering transition, you are not alone in this space. If you would like to receive weekly reflections or explore working with me in a private session, you can find more at: www.whiterosehealing.org (www.whiterosehealing.org)

The Sacred Journey of Grief
Aloha Beloveds and welcome to my rainforest garden! And welcome to the very first episode of Wisdom from the Rainforest, a podcast dedicated to the sacred journey of grief. In this opening episdode, Rev. Catherine Mea Ananda welcomes you into the rainforest of Hawai'i Island itself - a sacred space for those moving through profound grief, especially the grief that comes from sudden loss. She speaks to the sacred nature of grief itself, why it deserves reverence rather than rushing, and offers a short guided meditation to begin the path toward nourishment and healing. This is just the beginning. Future episodes will explore parenting while grieving, the sacred nature of grief in greater depth, and the collective work of recreating the container that holds grief - bringing communal mourning back into a world that has largely forgotten how. Each episode of Wisdom from the Rainforest offers a nourishing, healing meditation for those in grief - a place to return to again and again, for as long as you need it. Go gently, go with Love.
