This sixth and final episode of Wisdom of the Crowd is all about China. From the race to define the use of Artificial Intelligence, to securing critical materials around the globe, the issues on the horizon are both new and daunting. There has long been a debate about whether China is a partner, competitor, or rival, but it has become increasingly clear that policymakers in Washington and Brussels will have to accept that the country may be all three: A partner on existential global challenges like climate change. A competitor in trade, technology and shaping the contours of the 21st century's economic landscape. And a rival from the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea to Ukraine and the Korean Peninsula. Our guests for this episode are Jennifer Turner, the director of the China Environment Forum at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, DC; and Theresa Fallon, the founder and director of the Centre for Russia Europe Asia Studies (CREAS) in Brussels.
