GOOD ENGLISH GETS AN #AFRICAN SOUTH AFRICAN A BROADCAST JOB - DesireeChauke
In a world loud with noise and urgency, there remains a rare voice that informs with grace, listens with empathy, and speaks with quiet strength. Because true journalism is not only about breaking stories — it is about revealing humanity. In an age of constant headlines, there is still power in a calm voice, thoughtful questions, and stories told with humanity. This is a space for truth, reflection, and meaningful conversation. Because beyond the spotlight and soundbites, a gentle quiet spirit remains the kind of beauty that never fades. That is Desireè Chauke. Desiree Chauke is a seasoned broadcast journalist, Senior Producer and Anchor for the South African public broadcaster SABC. Desiree was the first African English prime-time newsreader on South African television. She holds a B.Com. Marketing Management degree from UNISA, Management Advancement Programme from Wits Business School and a Corporate Governance qualification from the University of Johannesburg. I hope you enjoy this beautiful and wise conversation from a quiet, gentle spirit! Until the next episode of Wisdom Personified Conversations with Dudu Msomi. Be compassionate. Love-filled and live consciously. #Humanity. #Award-winning. #DesireeChauke #BreakingNews #WisdomPersonified #dudumsomi

#Mentorship: When the Student is Ready, the Teacher Appears
Randall #Pinkett and Jeffrey #Robinson in their book, Black Faces in White Places: 10 Game-Changing Strategies to Achieve Success and Find Greatness said, “If experience is the best teacher, learning from someone else’s experience is a close second”. I concur. Which is why I established the Busara Leadership Mentoring Journey. Today I am talking to two alumni of the Busara Leadership Mentoring Journey, I call ‘Busareans’. #Busara means #wisdom in Kiswahili. So in short. These are the Wise Ones Alfred Mashiya is an #entrepreneur in financial services and retail. He is successfully operating two financial services providers; one where he serves as a director of the OFS Group and as the broker principal for Mashiya Consultancy. He is an astute business investor and runs a successful male boutique in Africa’s 3rd largest mall, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre in Pretoria, South Africa. I also have Lebogang Moemise with me. Lebo, as she is commonly called is a Chartered Accountant by training. She is presently the Economic Development Analytical Specialist at Seriti Green. #Leadership is not measured by how much we receive, but by how much we return to the world with gratitude. Remember to pay it backwards and forwards when your own growth is realised so that you enrich others as you rise. Don’t wait to give back. Give from where you are. Don’t just watch this episode. Like. Share and Subscribe. Help us to grow this channel to reach many more people who #love enlightening, reflective and constructive content. Until the next episode of Wisdom Personified Conversations with Dudu Msomi. Be compassionate. Love-filled and live consciously. #dudumsomi #miketeke #wisdom #learninganddevelopment
