In dieser Folge sprechen wir mit Prof. Dr. Wladislaw Mill, Juniorprofessor für Verhaltensökonomik an der Universität Mannheim, über ein Thema, das emotional, gesellschaftlich und wirtschaftlich gleichermaßen relevant ist: Diskriminierung. Er erklärt, wie Diskriminierung aus ökonomischer Sicht definiert wird, welche Formen unterschieden werden und warum es so schwer ist, sie empirisch sauber nachzuweisen. Außerdem diskutieren wir, wie Experimente in der Diskriminierungsforschung aufgebaut sind, warum „Random Lunches“ und Mentoring helfen können, Barrieren abzubauen, und warum Ethik in der Forschung eine zentrale Rolle spielt.
