   168 | Things Are Looking Up! | Your Help Comes From The Lord

   Scripture Focus: Psalm 121 and Philippians 1:6 What if the reason things aren't looking up is because you've been looking in the wrong direction? WNLOW family, no matter what you're facing today, Namma has a word of encouragement for YOU: Things Are Looking Up! Inspired by a familiar phrase from the Super Wings cartoon, this uplifting episode reminds us that our circumstances may not change overnight, but our perspective can change when we lift our eyes toward God. In Psalm 121, the psalmist declares that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He is our Keeper, the One who watches over us, never slumbers, and remains faithful through every season of life. And in Philippians 1:6, the Apostle Paul gives us another reason to be encouraged: the God who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus! So what does that mean for YOU? It means your present circumstances are not the final chapter of your story. It means God has not abandoned the work He started in your life. And it means that even when you cannot see the way forward, you can trust the One who sees the beginning and the end. Christian Grandma, perhaps you've been praying for your children or grandchildren, waiting for a breakthrough, carrying a burden, or wondering whether your prayers and efforts are making a difference. Don't give up. Don't lose hope. And don't stop looking up! As we continue nurturing Kingdom kids into warriors for Christ, let's remember that our children and grandchildren are watching how we respond to life's challenges. When we demonstrate faith in difficult seasons, we're teaching them where to turn when their own trials come. Here's your WNLOW challenge this week: Read Psalm 121 with your Kingdom kids, then remind them of the promise found in Philippians 1:6. Talk about what it means to trust God even when things don't look the way we hoped. Because our confidence isn't in everything going perfectly.    Surviving Abuse, Breaking Cycles & Finding Blessings | Featuring Author Linda Diane Hey there Grandma, What happens when the abuse you survive becomes the behavior your children repeat? Linda Diane is the author of the fictional book Two Alcoholics Plus One Narcissist Equals I'm Blessed, a compelling story about a woman who endures abuse across two generations of her family. After surviving an abusive marriage and leaving her husband, the central character faces another heartbreaking reality: her son has grown up repeating the abusive behavior he witnessed from his father. The cycle becomes even more complicated when her son marries a woman portrayed as narcissistic and abusive, bringing further pain into the family. Now a grandmother, the central character finds herself enduring additional mistreatment while trying to maintain a relationship with and protect her twin grandchildren. Two alcoholics.    166 | The Book of Josiah: How to Keep Your Eye on the Prize

   Hey there Grandma, Are you so focused on what's behind you that you're losing sight of what God has ahead of you?
