I'll discuss different clubs and activities offered around campuses, as well as how to use the city itself to make friends. At the end of it all I'll discuss an interesting paper only recently published, that discusses the way Covid lockdowns have prematurely aged teenage brains and disrupted the friendship making process.</p>

<p>Are you an excellent note taker, but you still have a hard time actually remembering anything? Do you think re-writing notes is the end all be all to study retention?</p><p>Today I'm going to talk about how to take notes during your lecture so you actually remember the content from the lecture. I'll discuss the difference in recall maximization when comparing hand writing notes versus taking notes on your laptop. And, I'll talk about how to close that gap if you want to continue to take notes on your laptop. Spaced repetition will play a key role in this episode, and I'll also touch very briefly on cognitive schema. Both of these concepts were mentioned briefly in my second episode, Learning to Love Studying. </p>
