WSW S1: Ep. 5 - Jasmine Lok

Welcome to the newly launched WOMAN SEES WORLD PODCAST! It is ready for your ears and energy! My fourth guest is Jasmine Lok of Lyons, CO.

Episode 5 with Jasmine Lok

Action, movement, aliveness — the engines that stoke Jasmine’s inner fire. As a child she prayed to become magickal. Through years of self discovery into her spirituality, her experiences as the owner of a movement studio, and living in Lyons, CO with nature as her neighbor — she can confidently hold the title of Magickal Being.

Jasmine embodies the Taurus energy of grounded presence, an Earth being who understands the divine directive and practices a sacredness within the mundane — every day. Deeply connected to her heritage, fully aware she is a spiritual being having a physical experience, she trusts her intuition like a friend. Ever cognizant of how civilization is overly connected in technology and completely disconnected physically, she stands firm in her purpose to affect the world positively with her unique gifts and attributes.

When we work to heal our wounds, it often becomes imperative to find a way to share that healing with others. Dancing, music, singing and movement — most importantly with other humans — produces a strong sense of empathy and ultimately helps raise the vibe of everyone involved.

“Don’t lose our human,” she says. “We need to be with each other.”

For 16 years Jasmine ran Mayama Movement Studio, a dance and exercise studio that taught a range of classes to students of all ages and was a staple in the Lyons community. This interview was recorded in 2025, she has since sold her studio to a company that continues to provide dance and movement classes.

Jasmine is thriving in Lyons, CO and expanding into her new chapter. I look forward to catching up with her again in the future for updates!

And I for sure want some of those famous Lok potstickers! I’m inspired to create a dumpling party now.

Listen up and enjoy!

BIOSeeker, welcoming, playful, spirited, nurturer, student of mystery, lover of nature, authentic, passionate, Nia 2nd Degree Black Belt, former owner of Mayama Dance & Wellness Studio

Jasmine is devoted to providing inspiration for herself and others through artful movement, connection and community. For 16 years Mayama has been providing movement classes for all ages and Jasmine’s studio plays an integral part of her Lyons, CO community. Sincere with her love, raucous with her humor, tender with her heart and generous with her attention, people find Jasmine to be welcoming and real and seek her company, classes and studio for her raw authenticity. She is driven by a strong desire to be a good human and to contribute to the world in ways that light her and others up. And, she believes deeply in not taking herself too seriously, making mistakes, failing and flailing as key to living life fully. Laughter and fun are key components to the daily magic that help keep her whole.

Timestamps

2:20 - a little bit about Jasmine Lok

4:22 - the dichotomy of burden in having an overwhelming amount of connections while being disconnected

5:40 - finding ourselves and the truth in that disconnection….

7:16 - focusing on how we are already whole, right here in real life

8:47 - humans have never had this much information at our fingertips

9:30 - Don’t lose our human and our need to be with each other

10:33 - My personal challenge right now - taking a risk while thinking of the future

12:10 - Why middle age is more of a beginning than a middle.

15:56 - Spent 16 years creating this business and I love it. I don’t have any guilt around wanting this or that. I make it happen. I’m willing to ask for what I want and seek joy with no apology. But I really track how I spend my time and money. It gives me information on what’s important to me.

21:55 - I’m discerning about my time and my money. I don’t have to find a reason or explain myself, I do the thing, but have boundaries.

22:30 - Being able to witness where my attention is going and where I want it to go. I am a co-creator in this life. Life isn’t happening to me.

26:11 - As a family we have always come around great food. Fondest memories and food - making and eating potstickers. You have to roll what you want to eat and you’ll want to roll a lot. Lok Family Potstickers are no joke. Self taught witch for 26 years. Spirituality is what we make it.

31:15 - Magick comes when we craft something and we put our intention and our desires into it, but then we’re willing to go out there and do the work. And being different. Yet, I’m so grateful for having that experience and for being who I am based on who he was.

42:10 - Child free by choice, a meandering road. Being partnered with someone you love deeply who doesn’t want children and the possibilities that can come from either path. Zero regrets.

48:47 - The world needs more singing and dancing together - raise that empathy!

50:57 - Big epiphanies - we are all wholly “holy” as we are and we don’t need to change a damn thing. We don’t need anything outside of ourselves to be complete.

52:40 - I would tell myself: Patience, patience, patience Jasmine. It’s not a race. Be generous with your love. High school freshman Jasmine. <3

54:00 - 1:14 - Astrology moment! Amazing intuitive abilities in this chart.

Epiphanies during this interview and reading. WSW S1: Ep. 4 - Dionisia Hatzis (Dio)

Welcome to the newly launched WOMAN SEES WORLD PODCAST! It is ready for your ears and energy! My fourth guest is Dio Hatzis of Boulder, CO.

Episode 4 with Dionisia Hatzis

Stepping into a bigger world requires an expanded perspective and Dio has always had her eye toward the great unknowns in life. Dio is a hungry aspirant of knowledge, an artist to her core, adventurer and world traveler with the heart of a goddess in training, embodying life in its most sacred. Whether its hiking in nature, gardening in her backyard, coaching and writing for other seeking souls, or dancing in community. A native of New York from a big, Greek family, Dionisia (her full name) happily embraces her connection to Dionysis, the archetype of the racy God (after all he was god of vegetation, fertility, festival, religious ecstasy, madness, wine, music and theatre). Heritage, lineage and found family all add to the tapestry of experience that has shaped her life’s journey.Dio’s magnetic energy has been a catalyst for her career path as a writer, teacher and herbalist. Using her words, her body and her feminine wisdom, she shares light and lineage with others on a path toward becoming — becoming whole and alive in this life, right now, by recognizing and embracing your truth. Now on the pathway of the Red Rose, ordained as a Magdalene Priestess, she harnesses the ancient ministry of Mary Magdalene (a high priestess and saint in her own right, a story covered up by the patriarchy) in the holy practice of anointing and scent medicine.

I gathered interviews in 2024 and 2025 for this first season of the Woman Sees World podcast, a project that has been long time coming, and these conversations are truly timeless. Dio and I spoke in September 2024 and her words are still as potent and relevant today as it was on that afternoon in 2024. Enjoy!

BIOA writer all her life, Dionisia is also a devoted Priestess, dancer, workshop facilitator, herbalist and artist. She studied English Literature at Colgate University in upstate New York, completed her yoga teacher certification at Kripalu Yoga Center in the Berkshires and received her Reiki Master training at Reiki Colorado Academy. She’s currently enrolled in a many-years-long Mystery School with Elayne Kalila and Diana Dubrow, training to be a modern Scent Priestess. Also a Mind-Body Somatic coach, she launched SOMA Writing, an online and in-person creative expression workshop that fuses movement and writing to help participants unveil the hidden narratives within their bodies. She has traveled the globe several times over and has created a sense of home in the concrete jungles of New York and London, as well as the high desert mountains of New Mexico and Colorado. She currently resides in the foothills of the Rockies with her partner, dog and cat. Inspired by nature, the elements, and the divine feminine, she weaves poetry through art, ceremony, ritual, and plant magic. When she’s not writing or dancing, she spends most of her free time hiking to alpine lakes and whispering to flowers and trees.

Dio can be booked for private and group somatic coaching clients — visit her website dionisiahatzis.com to learn more and get on her waiting list!

Free Embodiment Gifts from Diodionisiahatzis.com/sovereignty-rising dionisiahatzis.com/magdalene-unveiled-freegift

Find Dio on socialIG: https://www.instagram.com/journeysofrebirth/FB: https://www.facebook.com/journeysofrebirth/

Timestamps

1:35 - My biggest concern for the world is what we are doing to the plane. Our desecration of the Earth, Mama Gaia is the perfect symbol of how we’re desecrating the feminine

2:35 - Not thrilled with how America is moving, concerned about all the division that gets worse upon election years - regardless of who is in the White House

3:30 - I find myself chugging along even though I feel it’s wrong in my bones. How do I unsubscribe from humanity (haha)?

4:30 - We are not living in coherence with Nature - for me gardening feels like a revolutionary act

5:43 - Self care is taking deep breaths – I learned how to breathe from yoga but it took many years

6:28 - I learned how to take a big breath before expressing something big

8:30 - What brings me optimism is the rising of the Divine Feminine, even though that term has become mainstream and overused but it’s good people are taking note

9:50 - Admitting it’s a tough time to be a man but it’s necessary for us to have conversations with men about femininity, about questioning their “rule of the world”

11:40 - I didn’t have too many female friends when I was younger, felt more comfortable with the guys and thought I wasn’t a girl’s girl

12:50 - I have always been open and free and confident and that can rub people the wrong way

13:55 - As I got older I found myself in community with women, in my 30s

15:19 - Tradition/memory/ritual passed down: I have a memory of my paternal grandmother of her long mane of thick, silver hair wore in a braid down to her butt and would watch her undo her braid and would admire her wavy, silver hair.

16:26 - I started to change my view of beauty and aging, mostly women had issues with me letting my hair silver. There is such beauty and wisdom in aging.

17:41 - Spiritual and alignment practices: along the lines of Paganism, witchcraft and the Red Rose priestess path. I’m in a mystery school learning the art of anointing, working with holy oils. Stepping on the path of the Red Rose felt like — where have you been all my life. I always knew something was there but didn’t know how to find it.

19:25 - No one is between me and the Divine. We won’t get burned at the stake anymore for expressing our beliefs and witchy nature.

23:50 - Person of greatest impact: my father had a huge impact on me and his death was the birth of my spiritual rebirth

25:30 - When the priest spoke at his funeral I didn’t feel anything, those words didn’t provide any comfort

27:31 - How can humans unify? We can find unity as humans if we work on our communication skills. We are going to have differing opinions and thoughts. We need to have conversations rather than casting people out as “other” or we’ll never get to a place of healing.

If we can’t be in community with people who disagree with us this tumble cycle is never going to stop.

32:00 - Ways to reframe: It’s not easy to communicate or feel love for those who don’t feel it for us. How I deal with people who are doing hateful things, people who aren’t concerned with people or the planet – maybe they are baby souls and they haven’t gotten the experience

34:48 - Big life lesson so far: Great piece of wisdom for me - not everyone needs to like me. Living by this Dio-ism: I may not be everyone’s cup of coffee but I’m definitely somebody’s cup of tea

We cannot be everything to everyone - knowing the difference between like and love

40:14 - If you could give your younger self advice? I would go back to my 17-18 year old version of me that was overly concerned with my intellectual education when I really wanted to be in the art studio all the time. I was so concerned about finding a career to make a living and not be a starving artist

43:08 - I think it’s important for kids to be allowed to explore all their curiosities, to play and find out what really drives them - and it shifts and changes

50:00 - Astrological reading - a fiery, strong and confident chart

Follow me on the socials and my womanseesworld.com website!IG: @womanseesworld and @holliseesyou | Woman Sees World Youtube channel | Woman Sees World on Apple podcasts

Get full access to Woman Sees World at womansees.substack.com/subscribe

WSW S1: Episode 3 - Noelle Mejia

Welcome to the newly launched WOMAN SEES WORLD PODCAST! It is ready for your ears and energy! My third guest is Noelle Mejia of Erie, CO (and soon to be Italy).

Episode 3 with Noelle Mejia

It takes fortitude to move beyond our self imposed limitations and Noelle Mejia is a great example of someone who does the work. A health and nutrition coach, she is driven, aligned, connected with her needs and that of her family, she has cultivated a life of health and vitality. Not that she doesn’t have her struggles, as we all do. The game changing factor for Noelle has been owning her sh*t and making conscious choices to level up in all the ways. As you’ll hear in this conversation, she lives her days with a strong routine and self awareness. She subscribes to the philosophy that if you want something, if you are looking to take on something or change a specific thing about yourself, you can’t wait until you “feel” ready to start. You become ready when you actually start. Whether it’s eating healthy, incorporating movement into your day, starting a business or embarking on a new partnership — the best way to know if you can do something is by doing it. Through her own self work and dedication, she is manifesting the reality she wants while keeping her heart open to the possibilities and wonder of life.

Noelle is a holistic health coach, nutritionist, and mom to an infant and a spunky toddler. She specializes in helping busy women boost their metabolisms, shed fat, kick cravings, and gain confidence in their skin. Noelle blends her love of food & flavor with her passion for using food as a tool for healing in her monthly meal plan membership, where she offers new meal preps every single week that are protein & plant-forward, gut- & hormone-healthy, and delicious.

Links & Handles: www.wellbynoelle.com / @noelle_m on instagram

Timestamps

3:12 - Biggest concern: a lack of empowerment and a lack of responsibility, especially through the lens of health and nutrition. Many people don’t realize that they have the ability to be healthy regardless of their genetics.

5:57 - Personal concerns. Changing locations, living internationally and building a new life away from family and friends

8:13 - Staying in motion is what is necessary for mental health, lots of walks – that keeps my mind fresh more than anything. A free tool. It’s also a confidence builder. A win to check off in your day.

11:10 - Self-care. I can get rigid so for me, it’s actually blowing off my “to do” list. Being the opposite of how I normally am. Connecting with water, a bath, or hanging out with loved ones.

14:05 - Women are always doing, doing, doing and caring for other people and putting ourselves on the back burner

15:10 - I ran myself into the ground and needed a month off to recuperate from a launch with my company. I needed to find balance in my everyday life. It doesn’t have to be so extreme.

16:50 - Having a daughter is a perspective shift….huge eye opener

18:00 - We’ve cultivated a tradition of surprising each other…how often do you get to be surprised in your life

19:05 – Rituals and spirituality. Created a set of affirmations, made a recording and I listen to it every morning. Aligning with my Higher Self and higher vision of how I want to show up in the world. Love to clear energy with sage and Palo Santo. I am very intentional. Love Tarot cards.

20:50 - Grew up Catholic but it was more about “should” than what I felt drawn to.

21:19 - I have a problem with identity, slapping labels on things. Whether it’s Catholic or vegan, once you start to define yourself with that thing, you forego your ability to think critically and adopt ideologies.

22:10 - Experimenting with different ways of thinking opened my mind to my own way to connect with the Divine. We might believe in the same thing but my way of thinking about it is different. Different pathways to the same thing, to the Divine/God.

23:24 - What it feels like to record yourself and listen back to it. Learned this practice through a business mindset program.

26:19 - People who’ve had a profound impact. An old coworker who I reconnected with introduced me to my therapist. Working on your programming and your subconscious and not being a victim of your past.

28:33 - Can we all unify on common goals? It starts with not being afraid to have conversations with people who have different viewpoints than you.

29:40 - I feel quite anxious about the presidential election (2024). I feel the tides shifting.

33:40 - Identity issues, reiteration - what we identify with can be a slippery slope to not being open to others who are different than us or have different viewpoints

35:40 - The biggest epiphany I’ve had — “ready” is a decision, not a feeling. Taking action is a decision. Clarity comes with action, not thinking.

37:57 - I would want to talk to early 20s Noelle. Fearful of being herself.

41:11 - Noelle’s work as a holistic health coach - and her wins in business with the launch of her Meal Plan subscription

45:38 - Astrology mini reading

1:02 - Appreciation and ending, purpose of the conversation

Follow me on the socials and my womanseesworld.com website!IG: @womanseesworld and @holliseesyou | Woman Sees World Youtube channel | Woman Sees World on Apple podcasts

Get full access to Woman Sees World at womansees.substack.com/subscribe
