When you get a seat at the table, ask for two: Clare Gibellini on 'being seen'.

In this episode Clare talks about her journey to 'being seen', and what she has in the pipework with her new venture. She has a clear strategy to add voices to hers "If I get a seat at a table, I ask for a spare so that someone can come along and be part of it too'. Clare is a woman of many talents who is 'still working out' how to make her contribution to the world. Many years ago she decided that becoming involved, emersed really, was the key to understanding, and with understanding change can be effectively facilitated.

On her journey to discover how decisions and policies that impact disabled people are made, she is accruing an ever-increasing list of 'places at tables' including Co-Chair of the Oversight Council for Australia's National Autism Strategy, a Member of the Ministerial Advisory Council On Disability and an Australian representative at the 15th and 16th Session of the Conference of Governments to the Convention on the Rights of Disabled people (speaking to the General Assembly on behalf of Australia at the 16th Session in June 2023). In addition to these 'seats' Clare is also a Board Director, TEDx speaker, mother, wife, mad Chicken Lady, and proudly disabled...

If you would like to connect with Clare or gain a better understanding of the projects that she is involved in, you can find her here:

www.linkedin.com/in/clare-gibellini-653b98142 And, as always, a huge

Thank You to our sponsors and remember if you want to support the show, please use our links and tell them we sent you!!!

Ebats Accounting - https://ebats.au

Practice Ignition - https://get.practiceignition.com/womeninbusiness

From offshore geophysics to stargazing: Why Suzy took science and blended it seamlessly into emotive art.
Suzy is a seasoned stargazer and nature enthusiast, happiest when exploring Western Australia with her young family, capturing moments through her lens. What began as a passion project has since evolved into the thriving business Starbright Wonderland Photography - but things didn't start out that way. Never quite fitting into societal 'norms' she followed her own path which lead her offshore and into the weird 'community' that is marine seismic exploration. Deciding that this life compromised one too many of her values Suzy threw in the towel after meeting some incredible other women who were running great businesses on their own terms. If you would like to connect with Suzy or view her beautiful work you can find her here: www.starbrightwonderland.com www.instagram.com/starbrightwonderland www.linkedin.com/in/suzannejonesphoto/ And, as always, a huge Thank You to our sponsors and remember if you want to support the show, please use our links and tell them we sent you!!! - https://ebats.au - https://get.practiceignition.com/womeninbusiness

I Didn't Stand a Chance - Stuart Millington on the impact of being surrounded by strong women.
Stuart Millington is known around the place as the owner of Bluebird Technology & Consulting, as a highly accomplished IT Business owner with 22 years of experience, as a mentor to many young IT professionals, and as a passionate Mandurah Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service volunteer as well as a regular Plasma Donor... which is not a bad start when it comes to establishing your reputation. He also has a strong reputation when it comes to ethics, troubleshooting skills and client service, viewing IT as a passion, not just a job. BUT it is was as a proud father to one, then two, then three, then four fabulous young women that his real work began... as Stuart states 'he never stood a chance'. If you would like to connect with Stuart the best way is either LinkedIn or e-mail: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/stuartmillingtonmandurah/ Email: hello@bluebirdtechnology.com.au And, as always, a huge Thanks You to our sponsors and remember if you want to support the show, please use our links and tell them we sent you!!! - https://ebats.au - https://get.practiceignition.com/womeninbusiness - https://arcamorai.com.au
