19: Team Leaders in Real Estate Must Learn to Delegate or Face Burnout

As a woman team leader in real estate, I mistakenly had the view that if something was going to be done right, I had to do it.

Not only was that a recipe for burnout, but it was also arrogant of me. As my business grew, I wore many hats, and it was impossible to do everything myself without making costly mistakes.

If that resonates with you, I invite you to listen to today’s full episode. I will share my story of hiring an amazing transaction manager and how I failed to allow her to do her job. You see she was much more capable of detailed work than me and both of us were frustrated.

Now, I get that it’s hard to trust someone to handle important facets of your business. It was often said of me that people had to earn my trust. And the way to allow people to earn your trust is what I’ll talk about in today’s episode.

The overriding principle in today’s message is that if you don’t learn to delegate and build trust with your team, you will suffer burnout. And when that happens, your entire team suffers.

Find the full transcript for this episode plus resources for Team Leaders at beckykolb.com/19.

I help women team leaders in real estate hire and retain productive talent, develop exceptional customer service and build referrals.

Work with me: https://beckykolb.com/work-with-becky/

Get a Team Assessment Session

18: Build a Real Estate Business on Relationships and Watch Referrals Grow!

Do you want to grow your referral business? What if I told you that by doing so your advertising budget would decrease and your profits would increase?

Recently, I heard a title executive say that in Arizona most women real estate agents have success in two areas. One is customer satisfaction, and the other is repeat or referral business.

Competition is strong and it may seem difficult or even impossible to grow your business much less gain referrals.

Have you noticed the shift in real estate? Every other ad on television is someone wanting to buy a house. They are competing for your prospective clients. So how do you compete in the ever-changing real estate market?

Stay tuned to today’s episode to see how I achieved over 50% of my business in referrals by following this principle.

Find the full transcript for this episode plus resources for Team Leaders at beckykolb.com/18

I help women team leaders in real estate hire and retain productive talent, develop exceptional customer service and build referrals.

Work with me: https://beckykolb.com/work-with-becky/

Get a Team Assessment Session
