Wonder Bros Pod

About Wonder Bros Pod

A MCU rewatch podcast that isn't just about Marvel or Comics. Cody and Josh are working through every Marvel Cinematic Universe film in release order on the Countdown to Doomsday — all the way to Avengers: Doomsday this December. But Wonder Bros Pod was never just a comics show. It's a permission slip for adults who grew up on stories that shaped them and refuse to apologize for taking them seriously. The films are the doorway. What's behind them — grief, faith, wonder, what it means to grow up — is the conversation. New episodes every Wednesday. Bonus episodes occasionally drop Mondays. If you've been looking for a podcast that takes storytelling seriously without taking itself too seriously, this is it.

Deadpool & Wolverine — The Fox Universe Comes Home

After The Marvels, this one hits like a gift. Cody and Josh dig into Deadpool & Wolverine — the highest-grossing R-rated film in cinema history, the first Fox character formally integrated into the MCU, and somehow one of the most emotionally earnest films in Phase Five hiding inside a wall-to-wall comedy. They cover the opening credit sequence that sets the whole tone, the Wolverine variants and what they mean, Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox, the Thor crying scene that might pay off in Doo...

The Marvels — Carol Danvers Is the Loneliest Hero in the MCU

The lowest-grossing MCU film in franchise history. Six months after Guardians Vol. 3. Coming off one of the best MCU films in years. The timing was brutal — and honestly, so was the movie. Cody and Josh tackle The Marvels this week: the singing planet, the Power Rangers transformation sequence, Kamala Khan as a Nickelodeon character dropped into a Marvel film, Nick Fury written as comically inept, and a villain who ends two entire planets but somehow never feels threatening. They also find th...

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 — It Was Always Rocket's Story

James Gunn spent three films making you love Rocket before showing you what you were actually watching. This week Cody and Josh close the book on the original Guardians as they dig into Vol. 3 — Gunn's MCU farewell, the most emotionally devastating Phase Five film, and what might be the most complete character arc in the franchise. They get into the High Evolutionary as a villain you actually appropriately hate, why the comedy here is the tightest of the trilogy, the fizzle of what MCU space ...
