So far we have looked at the Go Promise; Go Power; the GO Process; The GO Church; Seizing GO Opportunities; Expecting GO Opposition and today we see the disciples moving to significant and strategic GO Praying…And the first thing we notice about Go Praying is that it happens within the community of believers.</p><p> </p><p>1. Go Praying happens Together! V24</p><p> </p><p>2. Starts with God v24-25</p><p>a. Sovereign</p><p>b. Creator</p><p> </p><p>3. Prays the Scriptures v 25-26</p><p> </p><p>4. Connects the Dots v27-28</p><p>a. From Scripture to Today</p><p> </p><p>5. Asks for what is most needed v29</p><p>a. Not relief</p><p>b. Not protection</p><p>c. Now it is your turn to respond in Faith</p><p>b. What is God telling you in Prayer?</p><p>c. What have you been asking Him for?</p><p>d. Are you watching and acting in Faith on the answers that have come?</p><p>e. Who needs Jesus this morning?</p><p>f. Who needs to join this church family this morning</p><p>g. Who is God calling to Mission or Ministry in a deeper, more sacrificial way?</p><p>h. Jesus is the reason for GO Opposition – v-7</p><p> a. Why were they greatly annoyed? V2 i. They knew it was because of Jesus ii. Jesus knew it – John 15:18-21; John 17:14 iii. The Disciples are learning it, firsthand. iv. Opposition means you are getting it right!</p><p> </p><p>2. Jesus is Your Answer to GO Opposition – v8-12</p><p> a. He is your Spirit-filled answer – remember 1:8</p><p> b. He is your Death, Burial, and Resurrection answer – v10</p><p> c. He is the Cornerstone of Your Faith answer – v11</p><p> d. He is your Exclusive Way to Life Everlasting Answer! – v12</p><p> e. Jesus is Your Answer to Opposition!</p><p> </p><p>3. Jesus is Your Identity in GO Opposition – v13</p><p> a. This will be obvious</p><p> b. There will be no other explanation possible</p><p> </p><p>4. Jesus is the Power that overcomes GO Opposition – v14-16</p><p> a. Notice who also spent the night in jail</p><p> b. Think of his accelerated discipleship!</p><p> </p><p>5. GO Opposition has only 1 chance – v17-18</p><p> </p><p>6. Your response to GO opposition should be pre-determined – v19-20</p><p> a. No argument</p><p> b. We’ll listen to God</p><p> c. We must keep on witnessing</p><p> d. We accept your consequences i. Preview – 5:40-41 ii. There is a price to be paid iii. You’ll never regret paying it! iv. “You must judge” – they will be accountable for their actions</p><p> </p><p>7. GO Opposition can’t stop God’s work! V21-22</p><p> a. God will be praised among the nations!</p><p> b. Matthew 24:14; Revelation 7:9</p><p> c. The Enemy has been trying to stop it for 2,000 yrs; really, all the way back to Genesis 3.</p><p> d. How will you respond?</p><p> </p><p>8.
