Christ As Our Champion | Hebrews 12:1-4
What is the word on the street for this week? Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, and run our race with endurance
Christ is our champion, he has already won and he has the victory. He is our trialblazer (a person who is the first to do something). Let us walk in this path that he has already set for us, looking to him and the work he finished on the cross. So remove those weights and obstacles that slow you down, and run your race with endurance.
Hebrews 12:1-4 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.

Bitterness, Forgiveness and Healing
In today's episode I talk about bitterness, forgiveness and healing. Being bitter is not a good look on anyone, but your feelings are very valid and our bitterness is probably stemming up from a certain experience that left us hurt. However, our unwillingness to forgive those who hurt us only ends up hurting us more. It weighs on us and not the person who hurt us. So for our own mental health, we forgive, also because God forgave us first. With that being said, the first step to healing is forgiveness, and the more we forgive, the less bitter we become because we are no longer holding on to certain things.

Your Intuition Is A Gift From God
In this episode I talk about how important Intuition is, how it is a gift from God and how it's important that we don't ignore it. Intuition can also be described as a "gut feeling". The Bible talks about how God searches out heart and examines our mind (Jeremiah 17:10). The hebrew word for mind translates to kidneys, and in Jewish culture the kidney area (or gut area) was believed to be the source of thought and hence today we often here people saying "gut feeling".

Your Heart Is Deceiving
That moment when you ask your friends for advice (when you already know what you want to do) and they tell you to "follow your heart" but deep down you become very excited because that is all you wanted to hear. What has following our hearts done for us? Think about it, I am sure it's more bad than good. So instead of being such a "follow your heart" generation because "the heart wants what it wants", I am sure we can figure something out, something better
I wont lie, following your heart seems like the easy way out, but is it worth it at the end? Especially if the consequences are dire. On the other hand, not following your heart is very hard, it takes so much strength and discipline, but I promise it's worth it at the end.
