<p><br>Serges Defemeflack is the founder of <a href="https://yemba.live/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Yemba USA</a>  the nonprofit cultural organization that promotes Bamileke culture, language, and tradition.  He is a well-respected and influential leader who has dedicated his life to fighting for immigrants&#39; rights. Currently, he works for the  <a href="https://afsc.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">American Friends Service Committee</a>, a non-profit organization located in Newark NJ. He coordinates programs that center on fighting for human rights and ending detention and deportation. He is an activist well-versed in immigration and citizenship law. </p> <p><br></p> <p>Apart from his profession Serges is a well-rounded artist, author, historian, and intellectual. Speaking with him he provided insights into how healing within our communities begins with becoming intentional.
