This is a man who's decompensating. But he's also losing it because increasingly Republicans in Congress, at least, even though they're going along, they still are. They still fear him. They fear his base. They fear the cult. In small ways, they're starting to try and get a little distance from him because he is a giant anchor pulling them down into the depths as we approach this midterm election.
