We’re building an Africa where young girls and women thrive in STEM through shared experiences. Our focus is on non-traditional STEM careers, which are an intersection of traditional ones. We believe these intersections or "hybrid" careers must be known through people of similar skin color, hair texture, and background. The scarcity of women role models in the STEM field makes it hard to close the gender gap, especially in Africa. We understand that knowing such women personally might be hard but having a media platform where many of them can be found for reference mitigates the challenge.
