Rob Nugent. Nudge. "Fulfilment from contribution".
I realised after 15 years of business networking I had a gift to share. Hundreds of amazing conversations with incredible business owners and entrepreneurs. When chatting to these people over coffee I had a feeling that the information we discussed could add value to others. So I decided to start this podcast in lockdown 2020 to let YOU access my contact list and learn from the best just as I have.
Sarah Aspinall was a high flying solicitor with a grip firmly on her career ladder. She had always kept fit and had danced since she was a young girl at home in Wales. Then one night, walking through New York she was held up at gunpoint and her life flashed before her eyes. 2 days later another incident in London pushed Sarah to reassess her life's goals and some big changes were made. Breaking Ballet was born. This incredible conversation shows it's truly possible to turn your hobby into a business.
We discuss how important it is to look after your health, try new things, don't be scared of being rubbish but the big message is to always follow your heart.

Nudge Meets Nick Bishop - High Performance Coach
Nick Bishop has worked from home for 16 years. After a successful banking career running a team of 250 staff and a multi £bn target, Nick became self-employed with the sole aim to help teams perform to their highest potential.
Fast forward to now and Nicks client base lists several household names, the NHS, organizations in Botswana and is heavily involved as both a volunteer coach and writer for UK Athletics.
In this unscripted conversational chat, I reminisce with Nick about how we met over breakfast at a Cheadle networking event, stayed in touch, and over lockdown have created our own little group of like-minded business owners to collaborate, have fun and seek opportunities for each other.
We discuss the ongoing issues and benefits of working from home for both the employee and the employer. The challenges of building a community and developing ideas remotely as well as the opportunities for home-based workers to explore their own potential to learn, run a side hustle, or simply have a bit more time to do what they love.

We discuss lockdown working, what we are doing to overcome the lack of physical meetings in a traditionally very 'meeting' based industry and how despite having all his competitive rides cancelled a very novel charity event known as 'everesting' is about to take place in Rochdale !!
Towards the end we finally get round to some top tips you can adopt now to help with your family finances, from your bank accounts to company pension scheme.

Fireside Chat with Mindset Expert - Simon J Gilbert
I this 90minute special we listen to author and mindset coach Simon Gilbert to discuss managing 'thoughts'. This gets deep quickly but puts a unique slant on personal development. We are not a walking, talking problem to solve - Simon opens up a conversation to help us understand that our thoughts are not who we are.........they are simply 'thoughts'.
We have a question from a business owner about overcoming price challenges as a tradesman.
A gym owner asks about personal development and if there can be a negative effect of always trying to get better.
In summary, once you are comfortable with yourself you have nothing to be scared of. Can you really be one of those people who just can quietly get on with things without any real emotional challenges? You can if you understand that you are not your thoughts. You are YOU!
There's a couple of swear words chucked in so just watch out for little ears.
