ANACRUSIS - Die beste vergessene Band aller Zeiten
<p>Anacrusis waren ihrer Zeit um Lichtjahre voraus. Es ist gerade ihre Klasse, die ihnen das Genick brach in einem Umfeld, das sich nicht für so etwas interessierte. Kenn Nardi war einer der Ersten, der im Thrash-Kontext zwischen extremem Kreischen und echtem, gefühlvollem Klargesang wechselte. Das war 1988/90 fast schon ein Sakrileg im harten Metal.</p><p>Leider passierte Anacrusis das, was vielen Pionieren passiert: Sie waren <strong>zu früh</strong>.</p><p>* Als sie Manic Impressions (1991) und Screams and Whispers (1993) veröffentlichten, war die Welt gerade im Grunge-Fieber.</p><p>* Für die alten Thrasher waren sie zu “komisch” und melodisch, für die neuen Prog-Fans waren sie noch zu “heavy”.</p><p>Ohne Bands wie Anacrusis hätten es spätere Progressive-Giganten wie <strong>Opeth</strong> oder <strong>Between the Buried and Me</strong> deutlich schwerer gehabt, ihre Mischung aus Härte und Melodie zu legitimieren.</p> <br/><br/>This is a public episode.
