No gurus. No filters. Just two people trying to grow, love, and laugh without pretending to have it all figured out.
It’s honest, unpolished, sometimes raw — and always real.

Episode 7- Grief, Grit, and Becoming with Kathryne (Grigar) Porter
In this episode of Worst Foot Forward, Rafe and Steph sit down with Rafe’s sister, Kathryne, for an honest, funny, and deeply human conversation about grief, healing, and what happens after loss changes everything.
Kathryne shares her perspective on losing their mom, how the last 14 months reshaped her life, and what healing has actually looked like in real time—not the Instagram version. They talk about family dynamics, love that doesn’t know where to go, and how grief has a way of stripping things down to what really matters.
The conversation also explores Kathryne’s massive personal transformation, including a 140-pound weight loss, learning to care for herself differently, parenting while healing, and her experience with Steph’s hypnosis work. Along the way, there’s plenty of laughter, sibling honesty, and a lighthearted look at what it’s really like being Rafe Grigar’s sister.
This isn’t a tragedy episode. It’s a conversation about growth, embodiment, humor, and finding your footing again after life knocks you sideways.

Episode 6- Therapy Isn’t One Thing
Most people have an opinion about therapy — even if they’ve never tried it.
In this episode, we talk about the different counseling and healing modalities we’ve actually experienced, including CBT, EMDR, large group awareness training, and ketamine-assisted therapy. Where they came from, what they’re designed to do, and where they helped… or didn’t.
We also explore the archetypes of people who feel like they don’t need therapy — the stoic, the fixer, the intellectualizer, the spiritual bypasser, and the burned-once — and how much of that resistance is shaped by culture, family, gender, and identity rather than truth.
This isn’t an episode about convincing anyone to go to therapy.
It’s about curiosity, choice, and understanding that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.
If you’ve ever thought:
• “I should be able to handle this on my own”
• “Therapy didn’t work for me”
• “I already understand myself”
• or “There has to be another way”
This conversation is for you.

Episode 5 - Habits & Rituals: The Things That Shape Us
In this episode, Rafe and Steph dig into the real difference between habits and rituals—how one keeps your life moving, and the other gives your life meaning.
We talk about the small, almost invisible habits that quietly shape our days… and the intentional rituals that anchor us, ground us, and pull us back to ourselves. From morning routines to relationship rituals, from creativity to spirituality, and even the childhood rituals we didn’t realize we were carrying forward—we get into all of it.
This is an episode about choosing what you repeat on purpose.
About making your life feel sacred in the middle of the everyday.
About deciding whether you serve your rituals… or they serve you.
If you’re looking to redesign your rhythms or deepen the way you move through your life, this one will land.

Episode 4- Synchronicity: When the Universe Leaves You Breadcrumbs
In this episode, Rafe and Steph sit down to talk about synchronicity—those strange little overlaps, nudges, and coincidences that almost feel like the universe is trying to get your attention. We explore the moments that shaped us, the times the timing felt too perfect to ignore, and what it looks like when you finally start trusting the signs instead of explaining them away.
From childhood rituals to adult intuition, from creativity to connection, from “is this real?” to “this can’t be random”—we’re walking through the stories and the patterns that made us who we are.
If you’ve ever wondered whether the universe is whispering to you… or whether you’ve been listening… this one is for you.

Episode 3 — Creating the Life You Want
In this episode, we open with the message Rafe received in his first ketamine session — the moment the universe told him, “You’re the only one who can give the message you carry.” We talk about what it means to believe in your own work even when no one else sees the vision yet.
We dig into the creative lives we had before we met each other — Steph’s poetry and prose, Rafe’s songwriting and storytelling — and how those early sparks set the tone for everything we make now. We explore how creativity isn’t just art… it’s cooking, building, photographing, parenting, and choosing the life you want on purpose.
This episode is meant to encourage anyone who feels stuck, scared, or late to the game: your story is yours alone, and the world needs your voice.

Rafe sits down to talk about one of the most defining moments of his life — saying goodbye to his mom after two years of silence. This episode dives into what it means to set boundaries with someone you love, to forgive without permission, and to show up when it matters most.
With Steph beside him, they unpack grief, healing, faith, and the kind of love that survives even the hardest goodbyes. It’s not polished or pretty — it’s real, holy, and human.
If you’ve ever wrestled with family, forgiveness, or how to leave things better than you found them, this one’s for you.
