Explore the movement for equality of the sexes through the power of conversation. Together we will examine our privileges and work to understand the hard truths of how and why mainstream Feminism has failed so many communities. We will learn about how we can collectively alter the narrative to be more effective in our search for equality.
Discover what we would call Feminsim.
In the fourth episode, we'll be sharing the final in a series of extracts of a conversation with Khadijah Diskin, a research assistant and doctoral candidate at Manchester Metropolitan University who is exploring Black students positions, experiences and interactions with the Academy.
In this episode we're continuing with the question of what it means to be educated in racial injustice, anti-racism, addressing the power of exhaustion through exploitation to hold people down. If there's any space for individualisation and the fact that some people will simply not care, once again, that catch me after the excerpt, where I'll be sharing my thoughts on how our conversation developed including some of the ways white women continue to subjacate Black women through controlling images.

Would We Call That Equality? - Ep 3
In the third episode, we'll be sharing the first in a series of extracts of a conversation with Khadijah Diskin, a research assistant and doctoral candidate at Manchester Metropolitan University who is exploring Black students positions, experiences and interactions with the Academy.
Our conversation includes discovering what kind of actions we can begin to take to try and create some form of change. What shift in our perspective is necessary to ensure feminism is doing the most when it comes to the liberation of all women. We know that intersectional feminism has a part to play, but what is truly intersectional? Finally, the power and transformation of doing the work to learn. Is it a luxury? What blocks are in the way that encourages this cognitive dissonance between our oppression from the patriarchy, to how we then treat Black women within our movement?

Would We Call That Representation? - Ep 2
In our second episode, we'll be sharing the first in a series of extracts of a conversation with Khadijah Diskin, a research assistant and doctoral candidate at Manchester Metropolitan University who is exploring Black students positions, experiences and interactions with the Academy.
Our conversation includes addressing if individuals have any kind of consumer power when it comes to organisations using representation to mask the subjection of women in the Global South. Why representation isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and who is actually benefitting. If working hard is the answer to achieving success, and if there is any merit to the idea that things are supposedly better than they’ve been before.

Would We Call That Feminism? - Ep 1
In our first episode, we'll be sharing the first in a series of extracts of a conversation with Khadijah Diskin, a research assistant and doctoral candidate at Manchester Metropolitan University who is exploring Black students positions, experiences and interactions with the Academy.
Our conversation includes asking Khadijah about what Feminism is to her and if she considers herself a Feminist. We’ll also touch on the history of Feminism and why how it’s viewed could be considered problematic. Then we’ll take a look at modern mainstream Feminism and how it’s been repurposed as a tool supporting systems of oppression.
