<p>Listen in to this two part podcast episode where Wrexham Ready goes on tour to Birmingham and Paris!</p><p><br></p><p>Rose attended the clay court Grand Slam, Roland Garros this week alongside her dad and tournament promoter Dave Courteen. She also caught up with 5 Live commentator, Abigail Johnson to hear her thoughts ahead of the second week of the French Open. </p><p><br></p><p>Kirsty, Operations Manager at the Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre, headed off to Birmingham a 125 Challenger event. She spoke to Paul and Mark, partners of Bennett Briegal who sponsor the Doubles trophy, and British doubles pairing Sam Murray-Sharan and Alicia Barnett all about the value of partnership. </p><p><br></p><p>Then she chatted to Steve and Meena, who were volunteering at Edgebaston and have previously volunteered at both Shrewsbury and Wrexham, about why they love volunteering so much.</p><p><br></p><p>Lastly, Kirsty caught up with Simon Haddleton who will be the new CEO of Wrexham Tennis and Padel Centre on Monday! May - City of Culture
<p>Wrexham is bidding to be the UK City of Culture for 2029, and they're sponsoring the Wrexham Ready Podcast!!</p><p><br></p><p>Rose chats to just a few of the many people involved in the bid including Joanna Knight OBE, Chair of Wrexham Community and Culture Trust who shares her pride for Wrexham. </p><p><br></p><p>Wrexham is full of murals and so Rose is joined by the new Art Trail Coordinator Liam Stokes-Massey to hear about the stories behind some of the incredible artwork.</p><p><br></p><p>We've spoken to many volunteers during these episodes, but this time Rose spoke to Dawn Roberts-McCabe who is Chief Officer of the Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham to hear about the key role that volunteers play within the city.</p><p><br></p><p>Lastly, Rose got the opportunity to visit a 300 million year old fossil forest - Stori Brymbo. April - All About the Launch Event
