Ep. 101: Georgia won the Natty! + Border Bowl talk with Team Coastal Empire's Kyle Hockman
OMG GEORGIA ACTUALLY WON THE NATTY, AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
*sound of things breaking*
*sound of person rolling around on the ground*
....ahem, excuse me what were we talking about?
Oh, right! Sports director Andrew Goldstein looks back on arguably the most consequential single game in UGA football history and singles out the unit most responsible for the Dawgs' victory. Plus, why UGA's victory over Alabama is different than a few of the other teams to beat the Tide in recent memory. (And why that's a good thing!)
Then we move on to the REAL final bowl game of the year, the 2022 Blitz Border Bowl! Both teams are well into their practice schedule and that's good, because this game kicks off in less than 48 hours from the time this podcast goes up. Team Coastal Empire has a 2-1 lead in Border Bowls...can Team LowCo even the score?
We also invite Team Coastal Empire head coach Kyle Hockman on to talk about where his squad is at going into the game and what he hopes his kids get out of the Border Bowl experience.

Ep. 100: Breaking down the CFP Final feat. CBS 42's Chris Breece and Brunswick HC Sean Pender
WSAV Sports is headed to Indianapolis!
The Georgia Bulldogs are playing the Alabama Crimson Tide on Monday, Jan. 10 for their first national title since 1980. It's one of the most important games in UGA history, so we naturally had to devote a whole podcast episode to it.
Andrew Goldstein takes us through the top storylines on the Georgia side of the football, including Stetson Bennett's Orange Bowl resurgence and the Dawgs' stellar offensive line play. Plus, we lay out what has to happen for UGA's secondary to not get torched this time like they did in the SEC Championship Game.
After that, sports director Chris Breece joins the podcast to discuss the Alabama side of the equation! Is the Crimson Tide offense different without John Metchie? Can we expect to see the Tide come with a more run-focused attack like they did against Cincinnati? And which Tide player is the X factor in this game.
Finally, we sit down with Brunswick Pirates head coach Sean Pender, who coached both starting quarterback Stetson Bennett and right tackle Warren McClendon. Hear how two of the most important Dawgs on this year's team got their start!
RUNDOWN:
0:00-15:20 Breaking down the Orange Bowl and previewing UGA's side of the title game.
15:20-34:51 CBS 42's Chris Breece joins the show to talk all things Crimson Tide.

Whatever you're celebrating this year, we here at WSAV Sports hope it's the best one yet, surrounded by friends and family and our latest podcast.
In the spirit of this week, we're dropping the WSAV Blitz Border Bowl rosters under your tree! Andrew Goldstein breaks down what we've revealed so far about our annual Georgia vs. South Carolina All-Star game and previews what might be coming on our final roster announcement Thursday night!
Andrew also goes in-depth about our selection process and why the Border Bowl is so important to WSAV for reasons that go beyond the field.
Then, we talk to Cedric Baker, the head coach of the 9-0 Savannah State women's basketball team, about why his team is off to such a strong start. Cedric also offers his opinion about the state of high school basketball in the area, any residual effects from the abbreviated COVID season and the growing buzz around HBCU Athletics.
Finally, we won't have a podcast next week because Andrew will be in Miami for the Georgia-Michigan game, but it will return the week after that! In the meantime, Andrew will have A TON of content coming your way from the Orange Bowl, so watch out for that!
