Yellow Brit Road 14 June 2026: Live from NXNE, The Bug Club Interview!

One of this show's favourite weeks of the year is whenever <a href="https://www.nxne.com/2026-artists" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">North By North East (NXNE) festival</a> is taking place. Over the space of a week, emerging music and artists take over the city of Toronto, with venues putting on showcases of some of the most exciting names in the Canadian underground, along with a number of international artists as well. The cooler, more underground cousin of SXSW. And by goodness, is Canadian music having a year.Tune in to hear our coverage from over 4 days of the festival, bringing you a few highlights and music from some of the artists we managed to see, running between venues. Vundabar interview!

American punks <a href="https://vundabar.biz/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Vundabar</a> never expected their 2015 album <a href="https://vundabar.bandcamp.com/album/gawk" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Gawk</a> to take off the way it did. Stemming from success in the indie world, the album took on a life of its own online during the pandemic, leading the band to bigger stages across the world, TV and festival appearances and more. Even at the time, "we felt like it was a good record," singer and writer Brandon tells us. Even still, the album's legacy continues to introduce new fans to the world of Vundabar.
