Water... Earth... Fire... Appa...
This isn’t your average Avatar podcast.
In addition to being avid Avatar fans, creators Bethany Burnham (she/they) and Libby Lee (she/her) have the writing chops and fantasy genre obsession to give you the Avatar podcast you didn’t know you needed.
In Yip Yip: The Last Podcast, Bethany and Libby take their listeners on a journey through the inner workings of the Avatar world, focusing on themes, story arcs, character development and more - they’re not afraid to dive deep. Plus, each episode features a quirky Avatar-themed game at the end that only two true diehard fangirls could create.
Listeners of Yip Yip can anticipate episodes such as “Best (and Worst) Fanfiction”, “Animals in the Avatar Universe”, “Which Nation Are You?”, and so much more. There’s even an episode that focuses entirely on the craziest theories of Avatar fandom. If that’s not enough to get you listening, Bethany and Libby also embark on a mission to understand the complex issues surrounding Asian representation in the media.

Welcome Aboard the S.S. Crackship
In this week's pod, Libby and Bethany get down to business about getting down to business... with Zuko (post-redemption arc, obvi). This week's episode is dedicated to the multitude of Avatar ships - be it fan favs like Zutara or hot takes like Tyzula. Or, if you really want to get freaky, the Cabbage merchant (you know who you are).
**Disclaimer! The opinions shared in this episode are just that - opinions. Agree with us? Hooray! Disagree with us? Love it! Let's have a conversation about it. We just wanted to sit down and fangirl over our childhood crushes (and sexual awakenings). No offense was intended with any of our comments - ship whoever your heart desires!
**Second disclaimer! It's mentioned in the pod, but just so nobody thinks we're freaky pedos or some shit, we discuss the various couples as if they were the same age as us today, NOT their age in the show.
