(הספר הגדול האדום באנגלית, עמוד 10) כה רבים מאתנו נאטמים ומסתתרים בגלל הפחד שלנו מאנשים ומדמויות סמכות. פחד זה נובע ברובו מאיך שהתנהגו אלינו בצעירותנו. כצפוי, מה שלמדנו כילדים ממשיך הלאה לתוך כמעט כל מה שאנחנו עושים כיום: פחד מבן/ת זוג או מבוס או בוסית, פחד מהצלחה או מכישלון, פחד מקונפליקטים – נראה שהרשימה אינסופית. דמויות הסמכות שלנו מהילדות – ההורים שלנו – לעתים קרובות היו מתעללות או פוגעניות פיזית, מילולית או רגשית. דבר אחד רבים מאיתנו בהחלט למדנו: אם משהו השתבש, זו הייתה אשמתנו. בעבודת שנים-עשר הצעדים של ACA עם מאמן/ת או חבר/ה למסע, אנו חושפים בהדרגה ובאומץ את הרגעים הטראומטיים מהילדות שהותירו בנו רשמים חרוטים כל-כך. לא פלא שהיינו מפוחדים. לא פלא שעצרנו את הנשימה וכיווצנו את השרירים חזק. ההבנה הזאת של מה שקרה לנו כילדים היא הדבר שמוביל לשינוי – זהו סדר הדברים ולא במקרה. כל העבודה שלנו נושאת פירות. בנקודה מסוימת, העננים מתפזרים והשמש זורחת דרכם. המסר נקלט! אנחנו לא צריכים לחיות יותר בפחד. הרגשת החופש היא פנטסטית! תודה לך, 'כוח עליון'! היום אני מכירה בפחדים שנשאתי רוב חיי, ואני מזכירה לעצמי שעכשיו אני מוּגֶנֶת. אני לוקחת נשימות עמוקות ומתמלאת בהודיה על האנשים האדיבים והאוהבים בחיי. acarecovering@gmail.com http://aca-israel.com
