About Yoga Nidra and Meditation for Busy Minds with Sumedha of Indian Yoga Girl
Too busy to rest? Guided yoga nidra and meditation for minds that won't switch off, with Sumedha of Indian Yoga Girl. Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep, is an ancient Indian practice of deep conscious rest: you lie down, listen, and let body and mind let go. Longer nidras for sleep and deep recovery, short meditations for stressful moments. Rooted in traditional yoga, gently explained with modern science. No experience needed.

You woke up fast — heart pounding, the dream still on your skin. This is a short grounding practice for that exact moment: eyes open, orienting to the room you're actually in, and slow breathing while the adrenaline clears. I'll stay with you for a few minutes. You are alright, my dear one.

Racing Thoughts At Bedtime
Your head has started up like a machine that only knows how to run. This practice gives your verbal mind a small, boring job — a slow list of ordinary words for ordinary things — so it can finally give up and let you sleep. Based on the cognitive shuffle technique from sleep researcher Luc Beaudoin. Lie down, get comfortable, and let the words wash past. If you're still awake at the end, that's fine — you've given your mind a real break from itself.

You Don't Have To Hold Everything: 3-Minute Grounding Pause
A short pause for the middle of a difficult day. If you are carrying something — a worry, a conversation, something that has not even happened yet — this practice gives you a few minutes where you don't have to fix any of it.
You'll be guided to notice what you're holding, set it down for a moment, and feel the ground underneath you. Slow breathing and simple grounding. Nothing to learn, nothing to get right.
Helpful for stress, overwhelm, racing thoughts, or a reset between tasks. No experience needed — practise seated or lying down, eyes open or closed.
