You Are Actually The Art

About You Are Actually The Art

Hosted by Aussie artist and passionate creative Ange Miller, this podcast aims to ground the listener in solid and inspiring creative truth. "I aim to nurture and sustain you, keeping your developing creative expression at the heart of your focus, rather than focusing on pressurised production which only dries you up and burns you out. There is so much more available to us when we realise that we are actually the art."

   13. "The Power of a Ripple Out" with Krystelle Celestino Wurtz

What happens when you courageously commit to finding your voice in art? You start to see glimmers of the "you-est you" and it is LOVELY. Powerful. Energizing. You can make decisions faster and irritating things don't irk you like they used to. I'm sharing a recent chat I had with Canadian Artist Krystelle Celestino Wurtz who has been a longtime member of the Art to Heal a Heart Membership. She went on to join me for Abstract Refinery Small Group Coaching and was so trusting and brave. We had some big breakthroughs, wept tears and pushed through together with fellow artist Colette Rose (https://www.colette-rose-art.com/). We chat about what drew her into the Membership and what happened after she joined what inspires her to push courageously into new, bigger spaces why her hubby packed up the kids' playroom, transforming it into a studio for Krystelle the power of a ripple-out the difference that community makes and how to build one I JUST KNOW that if you are interested in building momentum and authenticity and CREATIVITY is your jam, you will be nourished by this conversation. 12. Carmel Jenkin "I Just Need to Draw Every Day"

In this episode I'm chatting to fellow Aussie artist Carmel Jenkin. Carmel is based in Melbourne and we have known each other just through instagram DMs and comments over the last few years. It was wonderful to finally chat voice-to-voice. If you pop through to Carmel’s website or Instagram (I’ve listed all the links below) you’ll see why I love her - her art richly expresses in lines and tones winding a unique poetry around the female form and as you’ll hear in the following story, this is her lifelong commitment and obsession. “My work references various personal events and episodes that have shaped my own connection to my body – a journey of self-awareness that hasn't been an easy one. I am forever obsessed with the capacity of the human body to tell a story through line, shape, texture and shade.” Carmel has been at this for most of her life, so I know you’ll get a lot out of hearing her seasoned artist wisdom, as did I. We kind of just launched right in to our chat like excited long lost friends... Listen to our conversation to hear about Carmel's experience in NFT Land (What is it and what do artists need to know?) Social media for artists.. Instagram frustration, should we really sign up to TikTok? and a bit about the new "old Insta" option Vero. how Carmel juggles life as a mother and professional artist working in her dining room at home. how Carmel became a professional artist before the Internet Carmel's best Instagram Reel and Engagement tips Learning to pivot to keep your art Happening To view Carmel's art and keep in touch please click through the links: Website https://carmeljenkin.com/ (https://carmeljenkin.com/) Instagram https://www.instagram.com/carmeljenkin (https://www.instagram.com/carmeljenkin) Twitter https://twitter.com/carmeljenkin (https://twitter.com/carmeljenkin) And here are my links Website https://angemillerart.com (https://angemillerart.com) Instagram https://www.instagram.com/angemillerart (https://www.instagram.com/angemillerart) My Online School https://artflowsessions.teachable.com/ (https://artflowsessions.teachable.com/p/art-to-heal-a-heart-intro-class) Did you enjoy this podcast? 9. Healing our Broken Belief

Belief is everything. One of my most viewed Instagram Reels is a painting process video which featured the question "How big would you dream if you knew you couldn't fail?" I heard some man on Youtube ask this question and upon hearing I felt immediately expanded. In this meaty talk I'll discuss how you can tell if your belief is broken how to start the healing process what difference will this make, anyway? There's something to this... Here's the quote I promised to report: "Wisdom is the recovery of innocence at the far end of experience." David Bentley Hart If you LOVE ME and you're feeling it, please remember to share this podcast with anyone who comes to mind leave a review on the main page of this podcast on Apple Podcasts (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/you-are-the-art/id1586506451) share on instagram or your preferred social media and tag me @angemillerart If you'd like to learn this powerful stuff AT THE SAME TIME as developing skill in art making, come over and join me in the Art to Heal a Heart Membership (https://artflowsessions.teachable.com/p/art-to-heal-a-heart-membership/) and dig into 50+ classes I made especially for this! 8. Why Creativity Will Change Society Faster Than Politics

I posted a Victor Pinchuk quote on my Instagram last night that reads "Art, Freedom and Creativity will change society faster than Politics"... I often repost this one because it contains truth that is rarely heard and practised in mainstream society where the dominant System mentality suppresses and minimizes the expression of the human soul. Already I feel as though I should have written notes, haha - but I know I had a couple of inspiration "flow-throughs" so I'm trusting there'll be something nutritious here for you! In the episode I referred to Michelle (friend and mentor) from Eka Circle. Here's her website (https://ekacircle.com/) and instagram (https://www.instagram.com/ekacircle/). If you're needing help to navigate your suffering I highly recommend booking her "Pathways Session" which is by donation, so only pay what you can. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the Art to Heal a Heart Membership (https://artflowsessions.teachable.com/p/art-to-heal-a-heart-membership/)! 6. The Power of a Zoom Out

In this episode I discuss the value of Zooming out to establish accuracy and effect in your art and also what this means for your life, understanding of who you are and what you're here for... which we absolutely suffer for lack of. The Zoom out can remind us of how PRECIOUS and powerful we are in this time and place, if only we knew how to see everything in relation to the biggest possible picture. This episode encourages WHY it's so important to cultivate a habit of zooming out in our life and how this can help us perceive things in (more often than not!) a completely opposite way. We also talk about a powerful tool for effective zooming-out, and what difference this makes for our entire world as we know it. If this talk was powerful for you please share the episode. Let's raise an army of light lovers-not-fighters. If you'd like to see what I've been up to, come visit my Instagram (//instagram.com/angemillerart) or my Facebook Page (//facebook.com/angemillerart). 5. How to Instagram for Growth

You may have noticed I skipped a few weeks! This was not intentional, it was a funny little block I had to sash through. I discuss it further in the episode, which is a casual (but passionate at times) ramble intended to get back into momentum! If you have an Instagram account you would have noticed the changing algorithm settings which a frustrating many of us. When you're wanting to grow an audience it's especially infuriating. In this episode I work through thi topic and offer some powerful pointers on how to engage for growth without losing your mind. Much love.

    3. Wholeheartedness

In this episode I'm exploring the role wholeheartedness plays in journeying from SURVIVAL mode to THRIVING. I apologise for my sniff somewhere in there... I still struggle to listen back through to edit because I get to perfectionist and won't post the episode. I'll think it needs to be done again, but this is me practicing QUANTITY! So onwards and upwards! Sniff... Here's the link to the IGTV I mentioned (https://www.instagram.com/tv/CUYuTAUjZdT/)also discussing wholeheartedness...
