Breaking Generational Barriers this Mother’s Day
I lost both of my parents- and they left me with profound memories and lessons learned. How we are parented is the greatest influence on the remainder of our lives. Good and bad- and within us all is the power to live up to the belief others have in us or to reprogram our brains if necessary and to model and to pass on healthy, supportive, courageous behavior and a growth mindset. To break a generational pattern. My mother did this decades ago for herself and for her 9 children. You have the power to stop the excuses and to tear down the barriers for yourself and future generations. To live to your potential and not settle for your current reality. Showing Up in the Face of Guilt, Shame & Judgment
As humans, we let guilt, shame and judgment keep us from showing up and showing out in business and life. To hinder us from living fully and from taking the actions needed to level up. Especially in times of tragedy or in a world of never ending bad news. Sometimes we can’t shake the heaviness and hopelessness. We feel guilt promoting what we do to make money and we shrink at the possibility of judgment- classic Imposter Syndrome.
