The You at Your Best Podcast takes a compassionate, growth-oriented, and non-professional approach to life’s struggles. It’s for overthinkers who want to create their dream reality, live more authentically, and step outside of limiting social norms.
Your host, Morgan, leads with vulnerability as she opens conversations around tender, meaningful parts of life. Through the lens of healing, self-trust, and self-love, she shares her own journey of tending to her feminine soul and creates space for reflections that acknowledge both the hurt and the hope that can live side by side.
Listen along to explore themes of mental health, trauma, relationships, motherhood, and personal growth, always with the intention of helping you come home to yourself and remember your capacity to grow, heal, and thrive.
88. Reminders for Those With Mental Rumination OCD
In this week's insight episode, I share some of the reminders that have helped me when I get stuck in rumination, intrusive thoughts, uncertainty, or the need to understand myself. If your brain constantly asks “what if?”, makes you question your feelings, or convinces you that you need to find the perfect answer before you can move on, I hope this episode feels like a reminder that you are not alone.
In this episode, I share:
Reminders for when intrusive thoughts feel scary or completely unlike you
Why you don't have to solve or analyze every thought that you get
Some thoughts may be OCD, not intuition
Why healing OCD is non-linear and what to remember during a flare-up
Learning to live your life without needing complete certainty

87. I Was Finally Diagnosed With OCD
In this episode, I share the story of how I came to understand my OCD, what it was like to spend years feeling like I wasn’t allowed to believe myself, & the grief/relief that came with finally having an explanation. I also talk about starting medication, the fear that it would change who I am, & what I’m learning now that I don’t have to spend my entire life dissecting myself.
In this episode, I discuss:
What it was like to suspect I had OCD for years without a diagnosis
The loneliness and uncertainty of not knowing whether I could trust my own experiences
How getting diagnosed changed the way I understood my childhood and my past
The grief of realizing how much shame and self-hatred came from OCD
What I’m learning now about uncertainty, letting go, & finally just living
