幼儿出生到世上，只能依赖成人创设的特定环境条件而生存；但成人对幼儿环境的认识，往往只是从生存环境的角度来考虑——给孩子好的环境，似乎就仅仅就意味着，给孩子穿好的衣服、吃好的食物、玩好的玩具、住好的房子……似乎只要给孩子提供了优越的物质条件，就已经足够了。然而，在物质生活日渐富足的今天，我们的孩子身上的坏脾气、缺乏耐心、过度怯生、“公主病”“王子病”……却并没有因为物质上的富足，而日见减少。原因何在？随着幼儿园教育改革的深入进行，幼儿园教师迫切需要学习现代教育理论，而幼儿教师继续教育丛书为他们提供了实用的教材。此外，本书也可帮助家长培育婴幼儿，教师和家长都需要不断创造性地学习和提高自己。幼儿教育由于其认知的特点，不能采取正规学校的教育方法，因为他们不具备接受抽象知识的生理基础、心理基础，以及最起码的社会实践经验，因而，用对儿童的方法，对青少年甚至对成人的教育方法来对待幼儿，不仅不能取得成效，甚而会损害幼儿的生理和心理系统。所以，对幼儿的教育，只能采取启蒙式的、直观形象式的、游戏式的、非正规式的方法，亦即创造条件帮助幼儿接触环境、认识环境、了解环境、熟悉环境和适应环境，其根本目的在于帮助幼儿学会生存。因为只有首先解决了生存问题，幼儿以后的发展才有了基础，才可能得到长足的进展。因此，对幼儿的教育，实质上是一种有组织、有指导的“环境教育”，即通过有意识地创设环境，利用周围的环境来对幼儿进行启蒙教育。本书旨在使听友在“环境教育”这个基本点上引起共鸣，通过抛砖引玉，能进一步地展开对这个问题的探讨。 听得见的管理学，尽在悬羽文化。
