Billy and Tess finally drop back into your feed, over a year since their last pod, but hey, it's been quite a year... We talk about why we haven't podded, what's been out there for us (and you) to watch, do a lot of debating about comparing and contrasting, have some rom com rants and generally just do our rambling rom com thing. FULL DISCLOSURE: Tess sounds like she is underwater for the first 4 minutes or so, but it fixes itself, so bear with her.

POD OF THE YEAR (literally)
CONTAINS A HUGE AMOUNT OF SWEARING.
We know, we know, it's been a year, but we are nothing if not consistent rom com podcasters.
Billy and Tess discuss the future of the romantic comedy as it moves into a new decade, and have their usual existential crises live on air (and by this we mean 'Tess does').
Happy Holidays! And here's a link to the story we talk about at the end, and whether it could be a rom com...

A Fine Romance
It's the end of the year, which can mean only one thing. Billy and Tess need to exchange gifts from under the rom com tree, make some rom com resolutions for 2019, and make us all feel better about life in general, using the power of rom com. No pressure.

We are BACK (just like the rom com)...
What a difference 6 months makes, eh? Tess & Billy break down exactly what has been happening in the world of romantic comedy since you last heard from them. Clue: Quite a lot.

Tess and Billy's Rom Com Oscars
We're back! Did you miss us? We did. Anyway, seeing as awards season is FINALLY drawing to a close, we thought we'd dish out some of our own gongs, and give some rom coms the love, admiration and cheap statues they deserve but never got. We also pose some questions that have been noodling around in our brains since we last got together, and attempt to keep Billy's dogs from not making regular cameos, and the acoustics in his front room from drowning out our dulcet tones. Enjoy!

The Gift Of The Holiday Rom Com!
Hello friends!
Our 6th and final pod of the year! And what a year it has been, so we decided to give each other some presents, and some resolutions, all wrapped up under the guise of the holiday rom com.
We also have a big old rant about the rom com being blamed for something, yet again, but we know how you love it when we do that.
Happy Holidays from us both!

Women (Only)
Pod 5! Okay, we appreciate we're not the most regular podcasting team, but life is what happens while you're busy planning podcasts. Anyway, we were compelled to record one this week, because we were both feeling SO terrible about EVERYTHING, so we decided to spend a whole lovely hour talking with each other about our favourite female characters in film, and our favourite screenplays by women. Because we felt this is what the world needed right now.

Amazin' Craig Mazin!
Fourth pod lucky, and we finally secure an audience with Craig Mazin! We talk about romantic comedies people don't think are romantic comedies - namely HER - Tess gets triggered by the patriarchy, and our You Had Us At Hello love in session is for none other than Rob Reiner.
Warning: contains explicit language, despite what iTunes says, and Craig doing his A Few Good Men impression.

The Big Sick
Pod 3! In this third pod, Billy and Tess go and see The Big Sick, and then record their thoughts immediately afterwards. which seamlessly segues into a conversation about other great modern romantic comedies, and how to write a good one. We also wax lyrical on Diane Keaton, and Tess swears a lot.
FYI - there are no real The Big Sick spoilers, that aren't in the reviews and press!

You Had Us At Hello
In this first episode, Tess and Billy talk about why they decided to start a rom com podcast, give you a detailed breakdown of that award winning rom com, La La Land, chat about a recent rom com they liked, and analyze how television has taken the rom com batton and run with it. The rom com is dead, long live the rom com!
