Hij benadrukt het belang van vrijwilligers en de sterke traditie van het evenement voor de gemeenschap in Medemblik. Het Rondom Weekend is volgens Lars niet zomaar een festival, maar een traditie die het sociale leven in de stad kleur en betekenis geeft.
