Every Adventure should have a short rest; a point at which you regroup, refill your spell slots and decide what to do next.
That is where this podcast finds you. You meet in a sunlit café, weary from travel and the challenges that come of pursuing adventure. This place seemed to have appeared at the exact moment you needed it, but you do not have the energy to think of that.
You sit at one of the tables, nondescript white cup containing the only thing giving you life right now sounding off a pleasant clink. Just a rest and a chat, then you will start again.
Such a deceptively simple topic, we rarely consider how to go about it. On today’s short rest, let us discuss o e method to begin the process of outlining the next chapter.

Mimics Among Us: What It Means to Be an Imposter
The time stamp for the conclusion of the food topic is 17:00. Hello friends! Merry meet! On this week’s podcast, We talk about the potentially gargantuan Mimic that is Imposter Syndrome, utilizing some of pop culture’s greatest Mimics: The Imposter from Among Us and Audrey 2 from little shop of Horrors. We also discuss the ways individuality and habits and social norms can impact imposter syndrome and how to fight back. Spoiler alert, this is easiest when Mimics are carried out into the cold light of day and you have the argument style of an English major who has very strong and well founded opinions about the literary subject at hand. There are strawberry shortcakes that most certainly may or may not have teeth, coffee, and talk of dreams of adventure. So why not sit, grab a mug of something warm, and talk about ending treasure chests with teeth? You Meet In A Cafe
The introductory episode of You Meet in a Café, a podcast in which we discuss the many challenges that come of pursuing a fulfilling personal narrative and defining one's character development intentionally. Utilizing things like The Hero's Journey, Tabletop Gaming, Science Fiction and Fantasy alongside comic book canon, we will discuss what it means to pursue your goals.
But those are all in later episodes. For this episode, I simply introduce myself and Call to A Mentor, the companion blog and coaching service from which this podcast stems. Now who am I and what is Call to a Mentor? I am Caitilin, and I am a Life Coach in Training. I love science fiction, fantasy, and horror and have been long fascinated by the way narrative defines characters and vice versa. Call to a Mentor was born out of that love. Call to a Mentor is a coaching service that utilizes the conventions from the Hero's Journey, musicals, science fiction and fantasy to help people create a life that they chose. In essence, Call to a Mentor helps you put yourself back in the narrative. No need to worry; Neither potions, nor ray guns, nor staring off into the middle distance and singing your feelings will be required.
It also happens that the only quiet, semi-private place I could record had a fair amount of vehicle noise. I cut as much of it as I could, I do apologize. For this week, we will say the Café we happened to meet at was particularly close to the road. So come rest, weary traveler! Let us discuss adventure.
