You Ok Mumma? is a voice note to new mums who don't want to feel alone.
I'm Charlene, a first-time mum building a village for modern motherhood. No polished production. No script. Just real conversations about the nightly wakes, the mental load, and everything no one warns you about.
If you've ever felt isolated in motherhood, this is your space. One conversation, one mum, one story at a time.
Subscribe to feel seen, heard, and less alone.
Episode 4 - My Pregnancy.
Pregnancy. There is SO much to talk about.
This is a longer episode than my usual ones because, honestly, I had a lot to say(!) and I still don’t think the conversation is finished! 😂
In this episode, I chat about pregnancy from the perspective of a first-time mum looking back: preparing for pregnancy, conceiving, the two-week wait, pregnancy itself, preparing for birth, hospital bags, and the things I did (and didn’t!) prepare myself for.
I talk about some of the things I would recommend to another mum to be, the things I wish I’d thought about differently, and some of the realities of pregnancy that I experienced that may or may not resonate with another Mumma.
This one is a little different from where I hope the podcast will eventually go. It’s essentially a very long voice note from me to you over a cuppa. There are pauses, background noises, a few rambles and plenty of very real life moments.
I’m learning how to have these conversations, learning my own voice, and figuring out what I want this podcast to become. Hopefully one day sitting around a table with all kinds of Mummas having these conversations together 🥰
So grab a cuppa (or cold drink if you’re in the UK right now!), settle in, and come and have a chat with me about pregnancy. 💕
And if you’re pregnant, hoping to be, have been through it, or are simply wondering what everyone else experienced…You Ok Mumma?
Episode 3. Friends without kids. The ones who understand and walk alongside me still.
I had friends over this week. They don't have children. But they understand. They're accepting. They were adaptable and we made it happen after MONTHS!
Friendship looks different in every season. Today I'm reflecting on old but still present friends, evolving friendships including the ones that fade away, and the value of letting friendships grow organically rather than forcing them.

Episode 2 - In This Season: Managing Expectations
Episode 2. In this season…I’m trying to manage my expectations.
Lack of sleep. Brain fog. Days that go upside down. And the weight of feeling like you've failed because the day didn't go to plan.
Some days are lessons learnt. Some days are for surviving. Some days you thrive. All count.
Also, you might hear some pops on the P's. I was holding my phone too close! Learning as I go. Thanks for being here.

This isn't a regular podcast. It's just me, sending voice notes when I have something on my mind or heart.
So subscribe if you want, and they'll land in your feed whenever they're ready. No pressure. Just a mum, a microphone, and whatever's on my mind.
If any of it resonates, send me a message. I'd love to hear from you.
