Calling doesn’t begin when everything is in place. It begins with relationship, alignment, and faithfulness in the ordinary. This episode is a reminder that waiting isn’t wasted time and that God often prepares us in quiet, unseen seasons. Through Scripture, the story of David, and even a brief fictional example, we explore how God values heart posture over visibility and how everyday faithfulness shapes us for greater responsibility.    In this episode of Young and Faithful, host Akila Brown opens up about the tension many young believers feel—carrying God-given gifts while also carrying wounds from life. Akila explains that true success begins when we accept God’s identity for us rather than the labels we’ve picked up along the way. Healing starts with recognizing where we are, where we want to be, and how God leads us from wounded to whole. Akila breaks down what it really means to be both gifted and wounded: God plants gifts, talents, and purpose in us, yet life experiences—both natural and spiritual—can wound the same areas He intends to use. But the good news is this: God doesn’t wait for perfection. He uses us as we heal, not after we heal. Point 1: Identifying the Cause of the Wounds Akila invites listeners to explore where their wounds come from. Drawing from real experiences and insights shared on Instagram, she highlights common struggles that come with feeling set apart—loneliness, isolation, comparison, and feeling misunderstood.
