About Young and Kingdom Minded

Young and Kingdom Minded is more than a podcast, it's a movement of young believers chasing after God’s heart, growing in truth, and walking boldly in Kingdom purpose. We exist to create a space where faith feels real, relevant, and alive; a space where young adults can be encouraged and reminded that they are not alone in their walk with Christ. Each episode is a conversation rooted in biblical truth, sometimes deep, sometimes light-hearted, always Spirit-led. We talk about real struggles, real growth, and real purpose — through the lens of God’s Word.

   Father to the Fatherless

Father’s Day can be beautiful for some and painful for others. Some of us celebrate with gratitude, while others carry grief, disappointment, absence, or questions. But Scripture reveals something powerful about God—He calls Himself a Father to the fatherless. In this episode, we talk about what it means that God isn’t distant, unavailable, or absent. We dive into Psalm 68, John 14, Romans 8, and Isaiah 49 to see the heart of a God who pursues, adopts, protects, and reminds us that we belong to Him. If you’ve ever felt unseen, unwanted, abandoned, or like you had to earn love—this episode is for you. Earthly fathers can love well and still fall short, but God’s love remains constant. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. Through Christ, you are invited into relationship with a perfect Father. This Father’s Day, whether you celebrate, grieve, or feel somewhere in between, my prayer is that you would encounter the Father heart of God.

   God Understands Your Mind

What if struggling with your mental health doesn’t mean you’re struggling with your faith? In this episode, we talk about anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, exhaustion, and what Scripture actually shows us about mental suffering. From Elijah asking God to take his life, to Jesus sweating blood in anguish before the cross—we see a God who does not shame suffering but meets people in it. I share parts of my own journey with OCD, how God has met me in the middle of it, and why healing doesn’t always mean the struggle disappears overnight. If you’ve ever felt like you just need to “pray more” or “have more faith,” this episode is for you.

Part of my testimony: From Gay to Gods Grace

June is often called Pride Month, but in this episode I’m sharing my personal testimony of how Jesus changed my life and transformed my understanding of identity. For years I searched for purpose, belonging, and fulfillment in places that ultimately left me empty. What I discovered was that my true identity wasn’t found in my feelings, attractions, or the labels I carried; it was found in Jesus Christ. This episode is not about hate, condemnation, or attacking anyone. It’s about the grace of God, the power of the Gospel, and the freedom I found when I surrendered my life to Christ. Join me as I share my journey, the struggles I faced, the lies I believed, how Jesus met me in the middle of it all, and why I believe our identity matters more than ever. “The enemy attacks identity first because if you don’t know who you are, you won’t know what you carry.” My prayer is that this testimony points people to the love, truth, mercy, and transforming power of Jesus.
