A counter-movement which is gaining traction now on social media. It is called underconsumption core. It encourages people to be more thoughtful with their purchases. People are making videos of showing how they have a product and they use it until it over or broken or expired. This trend promotes minimalism in terms of purchasing power. It sort of detoxes the over consumption trend. Which i am all here for. Instead of influencers making videos of haul of clothing, makeup. They are now posting videos of thrift shopping, diy repurpose of items.
