What we learned at YC 🧠🧐

What's up people! It's Kevin and Anthony again! The last time we were here, we talked to you about our journey leading up to YCombinator. This time, we're taking you through our YC journey - everything from nervously practicing for the interviews to what it was like to be interviewed by YC to getting THE call while grocery shopping at a Japanese supermarket. A HUGE shoutout to batchmates and mentors for making YC so special 🤩 We also talk about the two products we've worked on along the way before Typedream (a Robinhood for Indonesia and Cotter, a passwordless authentication tool) and the lessons that we learned.

A full transcript of this episode can be found at: https://typedream.com/blog/ysh-7

ChatGPT gave me boring content ideas 😭 (and how I fixed it!)

Ever used ChatGPT to generate content ideas but ended up getting ones that are pretty meh? Been there, done that. I've tried many different ways of optimizing the outputs from ChatGPT but one that I found to work best for me is actually pretty simple: to talk to ChatGPT as if I was doing a podcast, in a human-to-human way. In this episode, I'll share with you how I asked ChatGPT to create different personas and tailor questions for those specific personas to generate more meaningful, relevant content ideas.

The full transcript of this episode of YSH episode can be found at: https://typedream.com/blog/ysh-6

Chasing hype cycles

Hey friends! Kevin and Anthony here. We want to take you on a little trip down memory lane and reflect on our journey before Typedream. We share with you the story of us trying to start a crypto exchange right out of college, the lessons we learned from jumping on trends to find a product idea, how we ended up in YCombinator, and how to fail fast, cheap, and forward.

For a full transcript of this episode, visit https://typedream.com/blog/ysh-5
