Colleen Blake-Miller: psychotherapist, speaker, author and podcaster
In this episode of Your Amazing Life, Colleen offers a timely reminder about the importance of paying attention to what is occupying your mind.
There are many real challenges that can weigh heavily on us — concerns about finances, work, health, family, the political climate, and the personal things we may be carrying quietly. While those realities should not be ignored, they also do not have to dominate our entire experience.
Colleen reflects on the difference between processing what is hard and dwelling on it to the point that it becomes all we can see. She also encourages listeners to tell themselves the whole truth — not just what is difficult, but also what is still good, what is still working, and where God is still present.
This episode is a simple invitation to become more intentional about what you are rehearsing in your mind, where you are placing your attention, and what you are allowing to shape the season you are in.
Because the hard thing may be part of your story, but it does not have to become the whole story.

Episode 114 - The Great Lock In
In this episode of Your Amazing Life, Colleen shares a personal reflection inspired by completing her first three-day water fast.
This is not an episode promoting fasting or offering health advice. Instead, Colleen shares the lessons the experience revealed about mindset, perseverance, personal growth, and discovering that we are often capable of more than we believe.
She reflects on what it means to pay attention to the messages that keep resurfacing, to give yourself room to improve when the first attempt does not go as planned, and to stop interpreting a difficult beginning as evidence that something is impossible.
Most importantly, this episode is a reminder that you are worth the effort.
You are worth the same commitment, consistency, energy, and excellence that you so freely give to your work, your family, your ministry, and the people around you.
Whatever hard thing is in front of you, this conversation will encourage you to take the first step, rely on the strength and grace of God, and allow your progress to become evidence that you really can do hard things.
