Ledger’s Trust Test as Rain and Polygon Build Payment Rails
Ledger confirmed a hidden implant in at least one wallet sold through a Southeast Asian reseller, then announced Atom, a device it says would block that attack but that is not planned to ship until summer 2027. Separately, Rain and Polygon expanded their stablecoin payments stacks, with key pieces still planned or in preview.
In this episode:
Ledger’s CryptoBilis implant probe (losses above $86M are an unconfirmed researcher estimate)
Rain’s embedded non-custodial stablecoin wallets, live on 12 blockchains
Polygon’s completed Coinme acquisition, with licenses and exemptions covering 48 U.S. states
Ledger Atom, announced at $849, with deliveries planned for summer 2027

In this episode:
Blast’s wind-down (interface withdrawals until Oct. 26)
OKX ICE’s SEC notice for a proposed 24/7 tokenized-stock venue, not an approval
