In diesem ersten von zwei Teilen über die Platonischen Tugenden Gerechtigkeit, Weisheit, Besonnenheit und Tapferkeit beleuchtet Andreas Thiel den Unterschied zwischen Kenntnis und Erkenntnis. Er erklärt, warum die antiken Griechen wussten, dass die Erde rund ist, und weshalb wir das heute bloß noch glauben. Aus dem gleichen Grund wussten die alten Griechen auch, dass das Leben nach dem Tod weitergeht, während wir auch das höchstens noch glauben. Hingegen wären die logisch denkenden Griechen auf einige Dogmen unserer Zeit wohl nicht so schnell hereingefallen. Denn Weisheit kommt nicht von Wissen, sondern von Erkenntnis.

Andreas Thiel beleuchtet die schöne geometrische Ordnung und den zentralen Punkt des Texts, der verblüffender nicht sein könnte.
