<p></p><p>Ողբերգական լուրը վերջապէս կը հասնի Թիֆլիս՝ խորտակելով Սոնիայի սիրտը եւ զինք դէմ-յանդիման կանգնեցնելով Վարդանի մահուան դաժան իրականութեան առջեւ։</p><p>Սուգին եւ կորուստի ծանրութեան տակ, Սոնիան կը սկսի մօտէն ծանօթանալ այն աշխարհին, որ ձեւաւորած էր Վարդանի համոզումները եւ կեանքի նպատակը։ Անոր ընկերներուն, գաղափարակիցներուն եւ զինք ճանչցողներուն միջոցով ան կը բացայայտէ Վարդանի մինչ այդ իրեն անծանօթ կողմերը՝ երիտասարդ մը, որ ամբողջ հոգիով նուիրուած էր հայ ժողովուրդի ազատագրական պայքարին, արդարութեան, ազատութեան եւ ժողովուրդին ծառայելու գաղափարին։</p><p>Միեւնոյն ժամանակ, Սոնիան նոր աչքերով կը սկսի տեսնել նաեւ Եւգէնէին եւ իր շուրջը գտնուող մարդիկը՝ հասկնալով, որ ազգային զարթօնքի մը ընթացքը երկար ժամանակ իր կողքին կը զարգանար, մինչ ինք անտեղեակ կը մնար այդ բոլորէն։ Յեղափոխական գաղափարներով, զոհաբերութեամբ եւ հաւաքական առաքելութեամբ լեցուն այս նոր միջավայրին մէջ, ան կը փորձէ իմաստաւորել իր կորստեան ցաւը։</p><p>Սակայն անսահման վիշտին կողքին, Վարդանի նահատակութիւնը կը ձգէ նաեւ ուրիշ ժառանգութիւն մը։ Մինչ Սոնիան կը բացայայտէ Վարդանին ընտրած ուղիին խորքային իմաստը, կամաց-կամաց կը գտնէ նաեւ իր սեփական տեղը աւելի մեծ գործի մը մէջ՝ նոր նպատակ եւ նոր ուղղութիւն գտնելով։</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>The tragic news finally reaches Tiflis, shattering Sonia's heart and forcing her to confront the harsh reality of Vartan's death.</p><p>Burdened by grief and loss, Sonia begins to discover the world that had shaped Vartan's convictions and purpose. Through his friends, comrades, and those who knew him best, she uncovers sides of him she had never fully known—a young man wholly devoted to the Armenian national liberation struggle, to justice, freedom, and service to his people.</p><p>At the same time, she starts to see Yevgenia and those around her in a new light, realizing that a national awakening had long been unfolding beside her while she remained unaware of it. <p></p><p>Թիֆլիսի հայկական կեանքը կամաց-կամաց կը վերափոխուի եկեղեցական կալուածներու գրաւման դէմ համաժողովրդական շարժումէն ետք, եւ հայ պուրժուական շրջանակները կը սկսին վերադառնալ իրենց արմատներուն։ Գաղտնի հայկական դպրոցներ կը բացուին, ուր Եւգէնին եւ այլ նուիրեալ աղջիկներ կը զբաղին հայոց լեզուի դասաւանդութեամբ։</p><p>Այս փոփոխուող մթնոլորտին մէջ կը շարունակուին Սոնիայի եւ իշխան Ալէքսէյի հարսանիքի պատրաստութիւնները, մինչ անտեսանելի լարումներ կամաց-կամաց կը ճեղքեն այն աշխարհը, զոր Սոնիան պատկերացուցած էր իրենց համար։ Սիրոյ, դաւաճանութեան եւ պատկանելիութեան միջեւ տատանելով՝ Սոնիան կը փորձէ ընդունիլ իր ընտրած ուղին, սակայն կը բախի այն դառն իրականութեան, թէ ինք օտար մըն է ռուս պուրժուական շրջանակներուն մէջ, եւ կամաց-կամաց կը փլուզուի ապագայի իր երազը։</p><p>Երբ իշխանին իսկական բնաւորութիւնը կը բացայայտուի, Սոնիան ստիպուած կ’ըլլայ առերեսուելու ցաւալի ճշմարտութեան մը։ Իշխանին անհաւատարմութիւնը կը դառնայ ոչ միայն դաւաճանութիւն, այլ նաեւ այն պահը, որ կը փշրէ բոլոր պատրանքները՝ Սոնիային բացայայտելով, թէ զինք իշխանին կապողը իրական սէր չէր, այլ անունին, դիրքին ու ներկայացուցած աշխարհին հանդէպ ունեցած հրապոյրը։</p><p>Եւ այս յուսախաբութեան ընդմէջէն Սոնիան կը գիտակցի Վարդանին հանդէպ իր ունեցած զգացումներուն խորութեան եւ անկեղծութեան։ Այս դաժան փորձառութիւնը կը դառնայ նոր ապագայի մը հաւանականութեան սկիզբը՝ իր եւ Վարդանին միասնական ապագան։</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>As Tiflis gradually transforms in the aftermath of the popular movement against the confiscation of Armenian Church properties, the Armenian bourgeois circles begin returning to their roots. Secret Armenian schools reopen across the city, where Yevkine and other devoted young women dedicate themselves to teaching the Armenian language and preserving a fading identity.</p><p>Amidst this changing atmosphere, preparations for Sonia’s wedding to Prince Alexei continue, while invisible tensions slowly begin to fracture the world Sonia had imagined for them. Torn between love, betrayal, and belonging, Sonia struggles to embrace the path she has chosen, only to confront the painful reality that she remains an outsider within the Russian bourgeois society surrounding her, as the dream she built for her future slowly begins to collapse.</p><p>As the prince’s true character gradually reveals itself, Sonia is forced to face a painful truth. His unfaithfulness becomes not only an act of betrayal, but also the moment that shatters every illusion she carried within her — revealing that what tied her to him was never genuine love, but rather the fascination of his name, status, and the world he represented.</p><p>And through this disillusionment, Sonia begins to recognize the depth and sincerity of her feelings for Vartan.
