16. 国产电视剧/《小巷人家》/《主角》

<p>值得表扬第14期, 我们来聊「热带」!</p><p>本期节目我邀请到了哥伦比亚大学英文系博士候选人Vivian和我一起来聊聊她的博士论文关注的话题: 「热带」!</p><p>「热带」是南北回归线之间的地理实体, 还是一个在殖民历史与现代知识体系中不断被建构出来的观念对象？从早现代的莎士比亚, 到大航海时代周游世界的人类学家, 再到二十世纪初的现代美国作家, 再到HBO的《白莲花度假村》, 「热带」似乎总是以某种熟悉的方式出现：潮湿、丛林、疾病、欲望，或者度假与逃离。这些想象从何而来? 它们为什么会如此稳定地被重复？更重要的是，这样一种空间想象，是如何参与到我们理解“现代”的方式之中的？当我们讨论“现代主义”时，我们究竟在讨论什么？在这些以都市为中心、以欧洲经验为参照的现代性叙述之外，像「热带」这样的空间，又在何种程度上参与并重塑了“现代”的生成？</p>
